#EVs are not a burden to the electricity grid. They are an asset. “Like soldiers in an electron battlefield, EVs are great for storing renewable electricity and sending it back to the grid during peak demand,” as said in Bloomberg. This concept, also known as #V2G, allows using EVs as vessels to charge electricity from grids onto car batteries when clean electricity is most available and discharge electricity to surrounding homes and businesses at peak times when renewable generation is low. I wonder... .. is this how the day-to-day of EV owners will look like? .. how long until these new technologies become available en masse? .. are our grids ready? And what about the customers? When did we get so calloused as a nation? Shoot, there were even Americans that were taken and we didn't care...not on a national scale. Congress didn't hit the roof and in a show of national unity and support of a nation that has been a faithful friend, demanding that the hostages be immediately released. Why are there not vigils on our college campuses in support of the hostages? Why are our young people chanting for the deaths of Jewish people and support for a terrorist organization? Where is the disconnect? Where are the parents? Where is logic and reason?! There are people who were stolen from their homes, from their families, from their lives. They have been living in constant terror for 201 days...289,440 minutes of fearing that you would be tortured or killed. They are being used as human shields. They are being used as bargaining chips by an organization dedicated to the death and destruction of the Jewish people for just being Jewish. These people should be the first and last thought of all civilized people worldwide every day! We should hear about the international pressure for their unconditional release EVERY DAY! If we had to live what the Jews in Israel have had to live everyday, since before October 7th even, our nation would stand in full solidarity with Israel. If we had to experience what the Jewish students in our colleges and universities have had to experience, we would arrest their abusers and clear the quads of this embarrassment to an "enlightened" nation. We would stand with them instead of ignoring their abuse. We should be ashamed. Why aren't we ashamed? This is an amazing video. We will watch while this entry for Eurovision is quietly dismissed and ignored. But hope springs eternal. Maybe we will collectively care. Maybe this song and video will have an impact. I pray that it will. For the world's sake.
