You will determine and implement strategies to achieve this through analytical and technical knowledge of hotel revenue systems and business intelligence tools. You will demonstrate excellent leadership skills by educating others and ensuring understanding and gaining buy-in of the revenue management processes associated with demand, revenue, forecasting, opportunity analysis, and inventory management. You will work with hotel leaders to recommend and identify future markets, hotel opportunities, guide hotels sales strategy and pricing for transient and group segments.EVERY DAY, YOU WILL Maximizes revenue, profit, and market share associated with rooms and function space of assigned hotels. Provide day to day direct hands-on revenue management leadership of assigned hotels. Partners with GMs' and Sales Leaders to ensure a strategic mix of business and pricing strategies are set based on market conditions to achieve sell out efficiency, targeted marketing, maximized revenue, profitability and Annual Budget/Business Plans are aligned. Effectively works with people, creating teamwork, taking charge, generating enthusiasm, motivating, and using an uplifting and lead-by-example leadership approach. Continuous analysis of competitive set, price positioning, seasonality, and mix. Use all Yield Management tools available to maximize efforts. Develop appropriate selling strategies to include recommendations on rate, arrival patterns, length of stay, and discount rate availability. Manage property participation and production through relevant Internet sites and other distribution channels

Story: Team 🕊️♥️ Once I remember working for 1000 bed room property. I joined in Sales, this hotel had an entire floor with teams that belong to different departments. The floor was full of people but for some reason neither people were talking to each other nor getting along. The staff turnover was quite high. No one knew who is responsible for what and what to expect from whom. Reservations & Groups were short of staff, Sales teams there used to focus on reactive sales. Front office teams were neither having time to spare to speak to clients nor having any strategies in place to do Upselling or Cross selling. The problem was no one spared time for training or developing teams. Learn & Teach: During my first week I had to take initiative to introduce myself to different teams, had to find out what they needed from our team and had to explain them what we needed from them. I enjoyed training teams in Reservations, Groups, Front office and Sales. Helped our sales teams with generating New business leads doing proactive sales. In a months time after my joining I had my birthday and when I reached work my desks was filled with cards and gifts from people from different departments. When I joined I knew no one but in a months time I was lucky to gain meaningful connections with the team. Revenue, Sales, Business Development, Training Teams and Developing teams is everyone’s responsibility. One day I went to Front office department and spoke to the team, they said they are mostly busy with check in, check out and admin duties. I asked them do you do upselling, the answer was ‘No’ I asked them do you sell breakfast or Promote loyalty program, the answer was ‘No’. The managers were busy in allocations, room moves & complaint handling, they had no time. Then I have suggested the Front office Manager to delegate admin tasks, allocations, closing City Ledgers and Rack control to Night Teams and to get a Front office administrator. So, the morning & afternoon teams can spare time in talking to the guests, promote loyalty program and try to upsell rooms & breakfasts. Front office teams have great opportunity to generate revenue for the company and for themselves by trying to upsell. If practiced they can earn more through upselling than monthly salary. If you are allocating rooms to manage rack then leave alerts on longstay bookings, special occasions encouraging teams to talk to the guests. Make time for making meaningful conversations, gain trust of guests then naturally they will return & also book direct & feel like home. Cross Exposure to other departments is useful for everyone. It is crucial to encourage, train & appreciate teams every now and then. Little words like ‘well done’, ‘I am proud of you’, ‘thank you’, & saying a ‘sorry’ when you are wrong are very important as they help in the team well-being.
