Neuro-inclusion is becoming a louder topic that employers need to grapple with, and we’re hearing some awesome questions about how to do this at Neurodiversity in Business (NiB) - the Neurodiversity Charity conference.

Over the weekend, I faced one of my toughest physical challenges yet: completing the Tough Mudder. 🏃♀️💪 It wasn’t just the mud, obstacles, or physical endurance that tested me – it was managing my body with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) every step of the way. For anyone unfamiliar, these conditions can make even daily tasks exhausting, let alone a demanding obstacle course. But here's what I learned: 🌟 It's okay to move at your own pace. We all have different starting points and limits, but that doesn’t mean we can’t push ourselves. 🌟 Support matters. I couldn’t have done this alone. I’m beyond grateful for the Networks Centre team and the people who cheered me on. Crossing the finish line wasn’t just about conquering the course, but proving to myself that my conditions don’t define what I’m capable of. I might face different obstacles than others, but we all have mountains to climb. To anyone else dealing with chronic illness or other challenges – you’re stronger than you think. In a hypothetical s*ck down odour, if people get "reset" after reaching certain levels of success, what happens? s*ckers would steal, people wouldn't have motivation. In 3 generations 99.9% of world succumbs to s*ckers (esc*rts)! BTW why are m*dels and escor*s being hyped up? And if this is about networth based top down "order", philanthropy would have stopped! People won't contribute to charities! Stop hating rich people! Start hating s*uts!

Are they included in your New Year's resolution?   As we approach the New Year, many of us are thinking about our resolutions for 2024.   While we often focus on personal goals, it's important to also consider how we can make a positive impact on the world around us.   One way to do this is by including the less privileged in your New Year resolutions.   This can take many different forms. It could be as simple as committing to volunteer at a local homeless shelter or food bank regularly.    It could also involve donating to a charity that supports marginalized communities or advocating for policies that address social and economic inequality.   By including the less privileged in your resolutions, you can help to create a more just and compassionate society.   It's an opportunity to use your time, resources, and influence to uplift those who are often overlooked or marginalized.   In doing so, you can contribute to a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and prosper.   So, as you think about your resolutions for the upcoming year, consider how you can include the less privileged in your plans.   Whether it's through direct action, charitable giving, or advocacy, every effort makes a difference.   Let's make 2024 a year of positive change for all members of our global community🤝💪   Do you think it's necessary to have a New Year's resolution?   Share your thoughts on this. 

As the year draws to a close, it's common for organizations and institutions to celebrate with lavish parties, inviting outside partners and other stakeholders. But often, you find yourself attending multiple events with the same circle of people. Rarely anyone has 'fun' in these events. What if we could transform this 'tradition' into something more impactful? Let's envision a change: Host jointly meaningful, symbolic events to bring everyone together, and allocate the rest of the budget to causes that make a real difference in lives. For example, support shelters for orphaned and abandoned children, provide aid to elderly care homes, or provide scholarships for underprivileged children. By shifting the focus from multiple lavish parties to one purposeful gathering and charitable giving, you’re not just celebrating the year's end - you're opening a chapter of hope and assistance for those who need it most. 💖 #CelebrateWithPurpose

I am fundraising for to summit Mount Washington, New Hampshire on August 24th for HIKE for Mental Health (Mount Washington is the highest peak in the Northeastern United States at 6,288.2 ft). The mission of HIKE for Mental Health is to: Increase public awareness of the challenges and suffering faced by those afflicted by mental illness and their families. Increase public appreciation for and responsible use of wilderness trails. Raise funds, principally by coordinating fundraising wilderness hikes, in order to: (1) prevent and alleviate the pain caused by mental illness (2) maintain and preserve wilderness trails As an all-volunteer organization, HIKE for Mental Health distributes 100% of contributions raised by their hikes: 80% of funds go towards scientific research to understand and treat mental illness 20% of funds go to conserves national wilderness trails
