Victorious victim. 🔵From health struggles to celebrations; 3k followers, celebrating customer service week, spotlight from a darling Glory Adeyemi, help from people on my DM, to community wins, and offers from #SkilledUpLife… Talking about my young community, I’ve watched amazing people like Zuria Nagadya and Dr Vivian Magnus give without hesitation. When the chance to help others came, I followed their lead, guiding people to get volunteer opportunities. I don’t promise them the volunteer opportunity, but I show them the way, and we hope for the best. 🔵Now, talking about self-care, Who’s the minister of #BabyGirlLife? Because I definitely need some TLC this weekend. Talking about self-care is easy, actually doing it? A whole other story. 🔵Self-care has been all talk lately, and trust me, just like customer support, you can’t pour from an empty cup. It’s time to recharge, so I can keep giving 110%, to myself and my #linkedinfamily. Need help keeping your customers happy or want to get a volunteer opportunity for your career? Drop me a message. Let’s connect and make magic happen. #CustomerSupport #SelfCareSaga #VolunteerLife #RechargeAndRevive #LetsConnect #100daysshowupwithzuria #digitalwitchcommunity #ProfessionalGrowth #globalvisibilitychallengewithdrvivianmagnus

🤝 The Power of Befriending: Building Connections That Last a Lifetime 🤝 In our befriending service, we witness the incredible impact that simple human connection can bring. Befriending does more than alleviate loneliness, it creates genuine friendships, builds confidence, and transforms lives. Some of our volunteer partnerships have grown into decade-long bonds. What began as an hour given to a stranger has blossomed into a meaningful, enduring friendship. For many, our volunteers’ support is a lifeline. Here are just a few examples: • Weekly chats: Some clients simply enjoy a phone call or a cup of tea at home, sharing stories and laughter. • Shared adventures: Others find joy in bus trips together, exploring new places they might not have felt confident visiting alone. Every visit, every call, every small moment shared is a reminder of the importance of connection. Our befriending volunteers bring vital companionship to those who need it most, and the gratitude from our clients is immeasurable. To our volunteers: thank you for your kindness and commitment. Volunteering is more than just doing good deeds - it's a way to show who you are as a person. When you put your volunteer work on LinkedIn, you're telling people about the causes you care about and the skills you've gained outside of your regular job. Think of your LinkedIn profile as a story about you. Your work experience is one part, but your volunteer work adds color and depth to that story. It shows that you're not just focused on your career, but also on making the world a little better. Employers like to see volunteer work because it tells them a few important things about you: 1. You're passionate about something beyond just earning a paycheck. 2. You can work with different types of people and in different situations. 3. You might have skills that you don't use in your day job, but are still valuable. 4. You're willing to give your time and energy to help others. Adding volunteer work to your profile can also help you connect with people who care about the same things you do. It's a great conversation starter and can lead to new friendships or even job opportunities. So, don't be shy about your volunteer work. Put it on your LinkedIn profile and let people see the full picture of who you are. It might just be the thing that makes you stand out from the crowd and land your next big opportunity.

Sometimes, you must put yourself out there to create new connections and open the door to opportunity. A few weeks ago, I popped into one of my local libraries to enquire about volunteer opportunities. A staff member kindly provided the details of their volunteer coordinator. I did not know what roles would be available, but I knew libraries were ideal spaces for community-based workshops. One of my 2025 goals is to offer in-person and online writing for wellbeing workshops. After an email exchange, I visited another local library to meet the volunteer coordinator. Following an in-depth conversation, I’m pleased to announce that I’ll deliver three writing for wellbeing workshops at libraries throughout Stoke-on-Trent. My first is tomorrow! I’m not a natural at ‘selling’ myself, finding it difficult to put myself out there But I knew I had to get a foot in the door if my goal was to become a reality. ✍️ Journal Reflection: • What's one goal you've been hesitant to pursue? • Write a letter to yourself celebrating a time you stepped out of your comfort zone. These prompts might help you discover your next brave move! Create a life you’ll love through words. #WritingForWellbeing #Journalling #CreativeWriting
