Operating crane in the vicinity of electrical transmission lines poses significant risks. Engaging in operations directly beneath these lines is an act of gross negligence. To mitigate these risks, adhere to the following technical guidelines when working in close proximity to power lines is unevitable: • All electrical conductors must be presumed to be energized at all times unless de-energization has been verified by the utility company responsible for the lines. • Establish a safe setup perimeter for cranes based on the voltage and power rating of the nearest electrical lines: For lines up to 50KVA, maintain a clearance of 4 meters (13.12 feet). For lines between 50KVA and 200KVA, increase the clearance to 5 meters (16.40 feet). For lines exceeding 200KVA but not exceeding 350KVA, a clearance of 7 meters (22.97 feet) is mandatory. 📌 Note: These clearances are based on general industry standards. Local regulations may vary; consult your regional utility authority for specific requirements. • Prior to commencing any work, conduct a thorough safety briefing, commonly referred to as a "toolbox talk," to review all pertinent safety protocols and operational procedures. 🔗 Stay informed, stay safe. #Crane #Cranes #Cranehire #Craneoperator #News #Facts #Electricity #Mobilecrane #Crawlercrane #Content #Accident #Incident #Cranehub #Information #Heavyequipment

What is Line Blinding? 🤔 ℹ️ Line blinding means completely blocking or isolating a pipeline or flow system. This is done to ensure safety during maintenance, protect against product contamination, and ensure operational safety. 💰 Blinding (or blanking) a pipeline is costly and requires many workers, large tools, and machines. ❗ Blinding can be risky for workers due to toxic fumes, spills, and possible explosions. 💡 SAMMI LINE BLIND is designed to reliably shut off pipelines. It's easy to use, durable, and requires minimal maintenance for long-term cost efficiency. With its unique mechanism, one person can quickly and safely close off pipelines without tools or equipment. Crane scale calibration is a process that ensures the accurate reading and performance of a crane scale. This is a critical task because crane scales are essential for a variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing, and transportation, where accurate load measurements are required for safety and operational efficiency. The process of crane scale calibration includes several steps: Inspection: The crane scale is inspected for any visible signs of damage or wear and tear that may affect its performance. Any damaged components are replaced as necessary. ✔Preparation: The crane scale is prepared for calibration by ensuring it is clean and free of any debris or contaminants that may interfere with the calibration process. ✔Load Application: A known load is applied to the scale using a specialist force calibration rig. ✔Adjustment: If required, the crane scale is adjusted to match the output of the reference instrument. This may involve adjusting the crane scale's internal components or the digital settings. ✔Re-measurement: The calibration is run again in full, and the after-adjustment readings are recorded. ✔Calibration Certificate: A calibration certificate is issued to document the calibration process and results, including the crane scale's accuracy, repeatability, and traceability to national or international standards. If the crane scale fails its calibration test, it can be adjusted or repaired with the customer's authorisation. AML Instruments can calibrate and repair all brands of crane scales. Please get in touch today to discuss the calibration of your crane scales.

We are excited to announce the launch of our caisson inspection services, bringing a fresh supplier option to the market. With this announcement we introduce our latest innovation, 𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐒. 🌊 What is 𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐒? (𝐎ff𝐒hore 𝐈nternal 𝐑obotic 𝐈nspection 𝐒ystem) - a centralised tool designed specifically for internal Caisson Inspection and enabling remote visual inspection, high-pressure water jet cleaning and automated ultrasonic inspection. Suitable for pipe diameters from 6” to 54”, with pre-set diameters for smaller sizes, 𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐒 can be remotely adjusted to navigate the most complex of caisson geometries (e.g. swaged repairs). Thorough inspection and cleaning can be completed through all zones (above water, subsea & splash-zone). 🔗 Learn More: Explore 𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐒 in comments 🔽 #Osiris #CaissonInspection #InspectionRedefined #oilandgas

Solution mindset and cooperation resulted in 12 rig days saved on P&A/slot recovery operation. Challenging application to remove 13-3/8” casing inside 18 5/8” casing with settled barite around it, to enable casing exit. TECHNOLOGIES; EXPERTISE AND IDEAS Cooperation with operator and our team resulted in a rapid response with new solution to combine XP™ high-load rotational spear and X-treme™ SJI™ mechanical slotting tool. Result was taking the planned 20 days operation down to 8 days. Reducing the P&A timing and acceleration the production of reusing the slot. This show the benefit of working on mutual goals and finding solutions to reduce HSE risk, time, footprint, emission and overall cost on P&A operations Thanks to Anders Berggreen, Ole Petter Nipen, Peter N.
