Prime Energy Drink has fallen victim to one of the most common fail-tactics of marketing. They relied too heavily on superficial aspects like celebrity endorsements or social media hype without focusing on the actual quality and value proposition of the product. Going from R500 a bottle, to R40 on launch and now a measly R9 - it's safe to say the brand now holds little value. Make mistakes through action, not inaction. This is true in life and in marketing. ✏ Positioning is tested through getting real eyes on your marketing, not in boardroom discussions. 📈 Campaigns can either die in a document or teach lessons when launched. 👁 New websites are measured by how they perform when launched, not how cool the team thinks the designs are. In most cases like this, a poor result from taking action is better than no action having been made in the first place. At least you learned something.
