Rare opportunity in Events Management in the Automotive Sector

Man, this job hunt thing is tough! It can be hard to remain optimistic, stay focused and do the work required to network, find opportunities and connect with people. Ironically, it’s a full-time job! Although the hunt for a full-time event’s role has been difficult, I’ve been enjoying the last few months of contract work. From helping to produce a 5K race with Diplo to overseeing a transportation program for 300+ guests on an incentive trip in Tahoe, it’s been rewarding and fun. I really like the independence and autonomy, and it suits me. As a result, I’m shifting my focus from looking for permanent jobs (though I’m still open to the right one) to building a pipeline of partners and clients who have the need for agile, expert event support on an as-needed basis. Reaching out to this great network of (mostly) event peeps to shake the trees. If you or someone you know is working on interesting event projects and need some support, please let me know. Event planning is a rewarding and challenging career that requires creativity, paying keen attention to details, proactive ness, communication and problem solving skills This also center down to my counselling career One of the most important motivation for working in this industries is my PASSION. Passion for creating memorable experience , bringing people together, making sure all guest and clients are comfortable and for making an impact There are days I just feel down,things are not working as planned,but the passion for this industry just brings the strength out of me SKILLS: Another thing is I get to showcase my skills while working on personal event job or coordinating with other planners. Did you know what job CareerCast named as one of the most stressful 6 years in a row? Event Planner. A lot of jobs are stressful but the nuances of managing an event really add to the stress. Why is it so tough? The rigorous amount of travel. The fact that you work in the public eye. The extensive networking you have to do in person. The zero-margin-for-error deadlines you need to meet. Taking into account all of the above, here is the one thing you need to remember: 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼. It's hard for event profs to give up control but you need to delegate and empower your team (assuming you have one). Set realistic expectations with your audience, your team, and yourself. Don't fight tech.  Leverage it to make your event stand out and your life somewhat easier. Recognize you are going to have external AND internal critics for every event you plan. Have contingencies ready.  It's not if things will go wrong but 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯. Lastly, pat yourself on the back. This job is brutal and you're creating a physical manifestation of a brand you take pride in representing. That's dope.
