Can Loyalty Programmes Make Holiday Travel More Accessible for Budget-Conscious Consumers - One of the primary hurdles in realising a dream holiday is determining how to afford it. For many South Africans, this is where aspirations often lose momentum. Recent data in the UKCCA 2024 Economic Benefits Report indicates a renewed interest in UK holiday parks, posing a challenge to foreign destinations. UK holiday park visitors stayed up to 82% longer and spent about 12% more than the national tourism average. Cornwall leads the way with a substantial +57% year-on-year interest, while Ayrshire and Kent experience noteworthy spikes at +90% and +81%, respectively. The growing preference for domestic holiday parks is influenced by factors such as geopolitical tensions, increased travel costs, and rising inflation rates impacting international travel. It's an interesting time for holiday park owners to make the most of this changing scene and redefine how we see staycations in the UK. This comes as no surprise to Seventy Ninth Group as they have consistently demonstrated a keen understanding of market trends and opportunities. Leveraging their 30+ years of expertise in the UK property sector, the Webster family steering Seventy Ninth Group has not only anticipated but actively embraced the evolving holiday park market. #seventyninthglobal #seventyninthgroup #uk #holidayparks #leisureparks #analysis

Travel isn't just for the rich. I used to think the opposite, but now I know the truth. Travel is for you if you want adventure. If you seek cultural exchange. If you want to taste different cuisines from locals. If travel is for you, money doesn't have to get in the way. Believe it or not, budgeting can get you there. If you set aside $100 a month for 6 months, that could be enough for a flight out of the country and a good hotel or airbnb stay. Wasn't that simple enough? It doesn't take much money or much time. A small sacrifice - setting money aside for later - can have a big reward. That's how I started taking my travel journey more seriously 7 years ago. One thing about me...I enjoy a good reward. Don't you? I already have more travel plans brewing. I’ve been so busy this week finalizing details for my clients who are getting ready to go on an exciting trip to Europe. They are going to London, Paris, and Rome. Last night they emailed me with this these questions. How and where do I exchange my money? Should I exchange money before I leave? How much should I tip? Recognizing that many of you might have the same question, here‘s the lowdown: I usually exchange my money when I get to the destination, and I use an ATM machine because you get the best rate. I suggest NOT exchanging your money in the airport because the fees can be higher. In many European countries, tipping is not mandatory but is often appreciated, especially in the service industry where guides, waitstaff, and other service providers rely on gratuities as part of their income. It's a good practice to tip guides for their services, typically around 10% to 15% of the tour cost, although the exact amount can vary depending on the quality of service and local customs. Why on earth don't we have this, already? We have Victoria Street, Edinburgh's most Instagrammable Street, badly needing resurfaced, the NC500 the subject of weekly negative reports of ecological (and other) damage and HALF of Scotland's Scotch Whisky Distilleries not open to the Public. Eh? Scottish Tourism needs a MASSIVE Capital Injection and new revenue streams opened. STILL a greedy and unenlightened sector tells us, nobody will come, because Scotland's too expensive? Why are we listening? What 'influence' does this out of touch sector have? Pay people! Train People! Are we not looking around, to see what's happening, with every other tourist destination, in the World? Scotland's experiencing RECORD Tourist numbers, again. Are we waiting till we're overwhelmed? Do we STILL want Scotland to be 'the cheap option'? To enable Scottish Tourism to thrive, we need money, for all sorts of things. #ScotlandIsNow.
What is Scotland's planned tourist tax and how much will it cost?
