▶ What's happening right now? ◀ There's a tonne of really impressive Data Leaders on the market! I've been speaking with some really incredible people, who appear to be struggling to get back into senior positions within the Data world. I get that finding senior data roles can be challenging due to high demand, specific requirements, evolving industry trends, and evidently intense competition etc etc etc And I get that companies want candidates with a combination of technical skills, industry knowledge, and leadership abilities, making it difficult to find the right fit....amongst the 98376437 MUST HAVES on the job spec. But surely you can't have it all, else you might be missing on Data Diamonds ( Yep, I claim that ) What's your thoughts? #dataleaders #headofdata #businessintelligence #datajobs

"Why Data Analysts are Basically the Superheroes Every Organization Desperately Needs (But with More Coffee ☕ than Capes)" Picture this: Your company is swimming in data—spreadsheets📈 everywhere, charts no one understands, and numbers doing the cha-cha in every direction. The Head Honcho is panicking, the marketing team is using guesswork, and the sales team is using magic. Enter the Data Analyst—armed with nothing but a laptop and an infinite supply of coffee. ☕💻 Here’s why we’re the real MVPs (aka Most Valuable Problem-solvers): We Speak Fluent Data-nese: While others stare blankly at a sea of numbers like it’s a modern art exhibit, we’re decoding it like The Matrix, turning confusion into crystal-clear insights. 🧐💡 Trend-Sniffing Bloodhounds: You might miss trends that affect your business, but we’ll sniff them out before they even happen. We’re basically the Sherlock Holmes of spreadsheets. 🕵️♂️📊 The Firefighters of Chaos: When data chaos sets the place ablaze, we walk in with cool heads, extinguishing inefficiencies like, "Relax, I’ve got this.” 🔥🚒 Creators of the “Ooooh, Now I Get It!” Moment: You know that moment when someone sees a dashboard we made and suddenly the whole room gets quiet? Yeah, that’s our jam. It's like showing a magic trick but with bar charts and KPIs. 🎩✨ Example: Picture a room full of people trying to figure out why sales are down. Panic is rising, everyone’s yelling ideas. Then, the Data Analyst casually walks in, points at one line on the graph, and says, “This. It’s this tiny thing right here.” Mic drop. 🎤 That’s when the whole room collectively gasps in awe, and the coffee supply gets refilled just for you. In short, while others guess, we calculate. While others panic, we find patterns. Data might be intimidating to most, but for us, it’s just another DAY. 😎 #DataAnalyst #DataIsLife #WeLoveSpreadsheets #CorporateSuperheroes #DataForTheWin #AnalyticsWizards #DataIsPower #DataScience #BusinessIntelligence #CorporateSuperheroes #AnalyticsForTheWin #DataDriven #Analytics #BigData #AI #MachineLearning #DataVisualization #TechInnovation #BusinessGrowth #Insights #DataAnalytics #CareerGrowth #DataProfessionals #TechCareers #DataTools #DataForBusiness #TechTrends #DataCommunity #HiringNow #JobSearch #Recruiting #Careers #JobOpportunity #DataJobs #DataAnalystJobs #Hiring #JobOpening #CareerOpportunities #TalentAcquisition #JobSeeker #Recruitment #TechJobs #DataCareer #OpenToWork #UTDallas #JSOM #HIREJSOM #

❓ Why are the senior people leaving their jobs in Data?! A trend I've noticed recently is the amount of senior data candidates looking for a new role. Heads of Data, Directors, Data Strategists - there are many of these profiles walking away from their jobs. Their reasons? Businesses are not following through on their promises, data strategies that have become tired and stale, and there are a few redundancies. The good news is - if you are looking for a senior data leader to take your data strategy to the next level, I can definitely introduce you to some great people. Just let me know! #Data #recruitment #CorecomConsulting

In my journey as a Data Analyst, I’ve observed the distinct approaches between junior and senior roles when interacting with Top management. Junior Data Analyst Questions and approach : - What events do you want to track? - What metrics do you care about? - What time period should I look at? - Which users should I look at? - How many visuals do you want in the dashboard? Senior Data Analyst Questions: - What business question are you hoping to answer? - What would signal to you that this was a huge success? - What would signal to you that we should roll this back? - Is there anything you're worried about with launching this? Any risks? - What does leadership ask about this project? A Senior Data Analyst goes beyond just collecting data points. They craft events, metrics, and narratives based on stakeholder needs. They align questions with data, make strategic experiment and product recommendations, and translate results into actionable insights that matter to leadership. #DataAnalytics #BusinessIntelligence #CareerGrowth #Leadership #DataDriven

We Need Help!!! We need to talk about something rarely mentioned in our world as data analysts. We don’t bring it up in meetings. We don’t speak out about it. But it’s there, silently shaping our work. Behind every polished dashboard and every seamless visualization, there’s a mountain to climb—a mountain we scale daily to ensure the data is clean, structured, and ready. Data cleaning may seem simple on screen, but in reality, it can take two to three weeks to get it right, especially when working with 6 to 10 datasets. You might say, "It’s your job." True. But you expect meaningful insights in just two days? The visuals may look effortless, but the work behind them is far from fast. Why are we not talking about Chief Data Officers? We need them. We should be building careers around Data Governance Managers. And what about Data Quality Managers too? This isn’t just a challenge for data analysts—it’s a challenge for everyone working with data, regardless of the industry. We need systems in place that lighten the load so that cleaning and organizing data doesn’t overshadow the time spent generating insights. This is more than just making our work easier—it's about elevating its quality. I’m Amanda, a Health Data Analyst. #healthdataanalyst #data #dataanalyst #datacleaning #datagovernance #dataofficers

Are you thinking about where to take your career in data? I want to make the case for a ‘less linear’ career (inspired by a post from Kyle Winterbottom - see comments). 😁 I can’t tell you what to do, but I can give you some insight from my sample of ‘one.’ We often look at data careers as a pyramid - you climb from one level to the next. 🔺 The problem with pyramids is there is less space the further you climb, and as we’ve seen with CDO roles in particular, thousands of people chasing vanishingly few opportunities. My experience is, whichever route you choose to go, you are not wedded to one path. Don’t listen to people who say there is only one way or the other. 👀 A lot more fun can be had by sometimes stopping to look sideways. If I’d listened to some of the ‘advice’ I’d been given, I wouldn’t have followed my nose to some brilliant opportunities over the years. Over the past 25 years I’ve served 10 years ‘in-house’ and 15 years in consultancy mode and moved back and forth multiple times. The breadth of consultancy experience made me a better in-house data leader. The depth of in-house data leadership has made me a better consultant. I wouldn’t have achieved this if I’d taken a traditional route. I’d love to hear from anyone else who has taken the path less travelled. #dataleadership #career #data

What really gives us that feeling of "POWER"..........? Saw this hilarious (and oh-so-true) chart, and I couldn’t help but relate. 🤓 As data analysts, we know the rush of: - Crunching numbers 🧮 - Uncovering insights 🔍 - Delivering that one report that changes everything. 💥 It’s not about the money or the title. The real power comes from seeing our work make a difference, influencing decisions, and watching data transform into strategy. Data isn’t just numbers. It’s a force that drives business forward. And when we’re the ones delivering those insights, we’re not just analysts—we’re decision-makers. 💪 How about you? What makes you feel powerful in your role? Let’s talk in the comments!👇 🎯 Reminder: My DMs are always open for you I am Durga Prasad - I post daily what I learn ♻️ Repost to help your network 🏅 Follow if you want to enhance YOUR Data Analytics journey for free #DataAnalytics #PowerOfData #DataDriven #CareerJourney #DecisionMaking #BusinessStrategy #LinkedInCommunity

"Without data, you're just another person with an opinion." – W. Edwards Deming As a Lead Data Analyst in the Professional Services industry, this quote resonates deeply with me. Data isn't just numbers; it's the story behind every decision, the guide to every strategy, and the proof of every hypothesis. Recent News📊 "The global data analytics market is projected to hit $195 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 13.5%."This highlights how businesses are increasingly leaning on data to gain a competitive edge. It's an exciting time for us in the analytics space—our skills are shaping the future! A dose of humor:😂 Why did the data analyst break up with their partner?Because they didn’t meet their requirements! Let’s make this interactive!👉 Here’s a fun one: If your job as a data analyst was a movie title, what would it be?I'll go first: "The Query Chronicles: Return of the Joins." What about you? Drop your creative titles in the comments, and let’s see who has the most relatable (or hilarious) take! #DataAnalytics #ProfessionalServices #Leadership #HumorInData #StayCurious
