Transfer of training science at it’s finest. Run. Jump. Throw. Hit. Lift. I am pretty fortunate to be a research associate at two universities. At Louisiana Tech University, I help advise graduate students and earning a Masters with a concentration in Baseball Science, who help the D1 baseball team that has been successful over a long period of time either on a scientific level or a practical level. At Auckland University of Technology, we have PhD students who are in the industry, who have practical skills and are able to put many pieces together, including testing new innovation. Both of these institutions are always looking for top level talent, peoplewho want to know things ahead of everyone else in the world. They actually flow quite nicely together. Taking students from their masters education all the way to the doctoral level. We answer questions regarding how we can have better surveillance for our athletes, strength and data-led training, coaching science with training studies, and innovate new approaches to player development and injury protection by examining multi factorial data on high level baseball players.
