In 1999, MAG formed the Regional Domestic Violence Council, bringing together governments, law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, nonprofit groups and other community leaders working to prevent senseless deaths caused by domestic violence. Today, Regional Council leaders recognized the important work of the Regional Domestic Violence Council over the last 25 years by wearing purple and approving a resolution to honor the anniversary and to recognize October 2024 as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 🔗 azmag.gov/DV #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth

On day 3 of Anti-Slavery Week, we aim to raise awareness that human trafficking doesn't always involve crossing borders – it can occur locally, affecting anyone. If you notice signs of modern slavery, it’s crucial to call 999 in an emergency. This includes situations where a crime is happening, a suspect is nearby, someone's life is at risk, or violence is being used or threatened. #AntiSlaveryWeek #EndSlavery #HumanTraffickingAwareness

IWe mentioned yesterday that you have to contact any safeguarding concerns to either your safeguarding lead (at work, community groups, sports groups etc) or to one of the three Safeguarding Partners (local authorities ( social services), police, clinical commissioning groups), But, why is that? When we notice someone is at risk: 🧎🏾♀️Why should we be sharing those concerns? 🧎🏾♂️Why not wait for someone else to share this? 🧎🏾Why do we too have a responsibility? #VulnerableAdults #Safeguarding #SafeguardingTraining
