#ASXNews Xanadu Mines Ltd is pleased to provide an update on metallurgical test work for the Kharmagtai Project in Mongolia, being developed with the Company’s joint venture partner Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd. (Zijin). The sulphide rougher recovery results represent a very positive technical and economic outcome for the Kharmagtai Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS). Next stage cleaner recovery and oxide leach test work continues to progress to plan. • PFS stage metallurgical test work completed for sulphide rougher process recoveries. • Rougher flotation tests delivered metallurgical recoveries up to 98% #copper and 95% #gold, at head grades up to 1.6% Cu and 2.0g/t Au at P80 grind size of 150 micron (µm). • These are in line with or better than Scoping Study1 assumptions and indicate potential value uplift in final PFS recoveries. • Grind size selected at 150 µm for Stage 1 (15Mtpa in Scoping Study) and 212 µm for Stage 2 (30Mtpa in Scoping Study), following trade-off studies by DRA Global. Coarse particle flotation remains under investigation to further optimise Stage 2 grind size. • Process flowsheet includes conventional comminution, followed by rougher flotation, then regrinding and three stages of cleaning to produce a clean concentrate. • Next stage regrind & cleaner flotation underway, targeting a balance between concentrate grade and recovery. Results expected in May or June 2024. #XAM’s Executive Chairman & Managing Director, Colin Moorhead said: “Strong sulphide rougher flotation results were expected given the clean mineralogy of the deposits at Kharmagtai, and it is very pleasing to have this confirmed here. These results are only part of our metallurgical test plan, and we look forward to future announcements including cleaner flotation and an even larger potential value uplift from our oxide leach program being investigated by MPS labs in Perth.” Full announcement: https://bit.ly/49ZBre7 #XanaduMines #growthstrategy #NewDiscovery #derisking #transformation #criticalminerals #futurefacingmetals #Mongolia #development #exploration #mininginvestment #ASX #TSX

Bradda Head Lithium (AIM:BHL, TSXV:BHLI) has announced what it described as “highly encouraging” metallurgical test results on samples taken from the Jumbo exploration target at the company’s project in the San Domingo District, #Arizona. The explorer said the test results were better than expected, albeit preliminary, with contractor SGS able to produce a "sellable" Li-oxide concentrate product through a dense media separation process - with a measured head grade of 3.05% from high grade sample material, 1.03% from medium grade and 0.34% from lower grade material. Metallurgical test work has now paused, pending further samples from the company’s newer drilling. Infinico Metals Corp. Intersects 1.37% Nickel over 51.94 metres Congratulations to the team on our first set of drill results on the Nicobi Project. The results from the first hole NBI-24-001 (51.94 metres at 1.37% Ni, 0.38% Cu, 418 ppm Co & 0.16 g/t 2PGE from 6.10 m) are extremely encouraging. Furthermore, the identification of nickel sulphide mineralization in hole NBI-24-005, which steps out 120 metres into an area not previously tested with drilling, shows the potential for further discovery, and demonstrates the mineralized system remains open down plunge and at depth. #criticalminerals #nickel #nickel exploration #juniormining #Quebec exploration https://lnkd.in/g8gkQmqD

Well-done Dr Bona Lim, PhD and Dr Mark Aylmore on the publication of our comprehensive review paper on technospheric mining of critical and strategic metals from non-ferrous slag. This review attempted to present the potential of non-ferrous slag as a viable source of critical and strategic metals needed for high-technology and clean energy applications. Slag is considered waste and is mostly dumped in heaps after smelting. Non-ferrous slag materials such as tin slag, copper slag, nickel slag, vanadium slag, and titanium slag contain significant amounts of critical and strategic elements, making them potential secondary resources for such metals. You can download a copy of the paper using the following link: https://lnkd.in/gc2ab7iz #ResearchandInnovation #technosphericmining #criticalmetals #curtinuniversity
