We've witnessed a fairly remarkable surge in advocacy for equality and justice, which has shown somewhat of a shift in societal values. However, many individuals still feel hesitant to openly express their support for equality for fear of the consequences they might face. Those voters are certainly overlooked, meaning 75 million is likely a low estimate. Those who are opposed need to be aware of the latent support for equality that exists beneath the surface of public discourse. By empowering individuals with knowledge and compassion, we can dismantle the barriers of fear and build a more inclusive future together. #kindnessalwaysmatters #neverquit

Really interesting analysis by Universal Rights Group Marc Limon of the human rights pledges made by Member States during the High-Level event to mark the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (11 and 12 December in Geneva). It is very good to see that Children and youth rights featured prominently in countries’ statements and pledges, including children and youth participation and their involvement in decision-making. We need to make sure that these pledges are actually implemented and translate into changes to uphold children's rights. https://lnkd.in/e6DUtMjk
