Answer the Call – Save a Life. Yesterday, I chatted with two extraordinary charities - Haig Housing and Combat Stress. These charities are lifelines offering hope, housing, and mental health support for the veteran community and their families. At Ubique Developments, we’re pledging 5% of all our profits to be split, supporting these two causes.  But it doesn’t stop there. We’re taking these corporate partnerships to the streets—using our site hoardings and other opportunities to raise awareness and rally support. As part of our recent downtime series – designed to highlight the benefits of downtime, Angellica Bell interviewed Sarah Bissell, Deputy Director of Fundraising for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH) – Premier Inn’s charity partner. Sarah gave us a great insight into why downtime is so vital when working in the charity sector. Working for GOSH, Sarah sees many families going through extremely difficult situations... so, when she gets home, she makes sure to spend quality time with her own family, including her two daughters. Sarah also makes time for exercise too. 🏃♂️ ‘What we do is so exciting and an amazing opportunity. The way that we do that is by going out and inspiring people to give and it’s very tempting to put a lot of your life into it! It’s taken me a long time to get there, but getting the answers you need for the big stuff is fed by seeing the outside world, which is why downtime is so important’. When it comes to finding the right balance, breaking things up and cutting off from the 9 to 5, you know that, at Premier Inn, you’ll always be able to make time for downtime.
