We “Consumers” can reduce our carbon footprint with our diet and our daily purchases ‼️ The carbon footprint is linked to the choices we make in the products we consume! And here the tool we co-created, #EcoTrace calculates the carbon footprint per kg of product taking into account factors such as: 👉 Carbon dioxide emissions released during the production process 👉Energy consumption 👉Methods of transportation 🚜 Also with EcoTrace you can see overall whether the practices applied in the field are environmentally friendly and do not expose the producers, but also the workers of agricultural enterprises to chemical preparations. What it takes into account to calculate the score: ➡️The management of the soil and the preservation of its structure ➡️The use of water and the application of fertilizers in relation to the real needs of the crop ➡️The application of plant protection products at the right time, so that effective and safe spraying is carried out with respect for the environment and those around it ➡️To what extent the cultivation practices applied in the field emit significant amounts of CO2 per kilogram of product 🔵Let's consume responsibly taking into account the impact of products on the environment and society. 👉And don't forget, are you a farmer?
