RF payloads+ Unmanned Platforms = The next frontier for CEMA!! I want to introduce our latest Node to join the CRFS family, the Node 100-18 Lightweight shaves off 3kg and fits nicely into #UAV, #USV, #UGV. Since it is a Node, it enables an unmanned platform to not only capture signals (IQ) from 9kHz to 18GHz, but also geolocates them as part of a TDoA Network. Imagine, UGVs now integrated as part of a ECM system supporting #airdefense, or USV conducting remote sensing in the littorals. Exciting stuff. Learn more here or DM me directly to start a convo. https://lnkd.in/gibvFfjE #electronicwarfare #nato #unmanned #drones #CEMA

Tracking moving targets in complex environments is a major challenge for drone systems. The reticle often loses track due to rapid movements or obstructions, reducing accuracy and increasing costs. Meta Open Source’s Segment Anything Model 2 (SAM2) offers a solution. SAM2’s advanced video segmentation and memory mechanism ensure real-time, accurate target tracking, even when the reticle struggles. Check out the video to see SAM2 in action, showing the segmented object in blue with the reticle highlighted by a square and crosshair. The Evolution of Warfare: Adopting a Hybrid Approach The warfare landscape has undergone a significant transformation in recent years, where the tactical and strategic hold of the terrain is a key lesson learned. This change does not only concern physical presence in the field but also encompasses a multi-level approach that combines various aspects of intelligence collection and analysis. The modern battlefield is a complex environment where traditional methods merge with innovative innovations. It is a hybrid combination of the old and the new, where human judgment shares the efficiency of the machine. Technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI), plays a crucial role in this evolution, offering capabilities that were once the stuff of science fiction. Artificial intelligence systems can process vast amounts of data at incredible speeds, and identify patterns and insights that might elude human analysts. They can monitor communications, predict enemy movements, and even help with decision-making processes. However, the human element remains irreplaceable. The intuition, experience, and moral judgment of commanders and soldiers are essential, especially when it comes to making critical decisions that affect lives and mission outcomes. This mixture of man and machine extends to the assets deployed in the field. From stationary surveillance systems that constantly monitor key areas to mobile units that can adapt to changing scenarios, the goal is to maintain a state of readiness and react appropriately at the right moment. The future of warfare requires agility and adaptability, with a keen ability to understand and integrate new technologies while respecting the enduring value of human insight. It is about creating a responsive and flexible framework that can deal with the complexity of modern conflicts, ensuring that strategic objectives are met with precision and ethical consideration. As we continue to learn from past conflicts and adapt to the ever-evolving nature of warfare, it is clear that a successful combination of technology and human expertise will be the cornerstone of effective military strategy. The challenge lies in balancing these elements, ensuring that each one complements the other. #Defence #Security #cuav #boarders #Innovation #Networking #drones #eurosatory #cuav #BORDERUAS #drones #ElectronicWarfare #CounterDrone #Eurosatory2024 #drone #uav #technology #hls

Fatal Equations: As AI develops, how do we address the complexities of its use in war? 🤖 Whereas advocates of autonomous, remote warfare highlight the potential of conducted targeted strikes with surgical precision, critics argue that it minimises the emotional connection between operators and their targets - in turn decreasing the overall concern for human suffering on the ground. As the role of technology in warfare changes, these moral and ethical concerns will only become increasingly complex. 🎮 Solveij Mailänder explores the rise of algorithmic warfare, drones, detachment and the future of bodies in conflict for FARSIGHT Issue 10: The Body and Beyond.
