After the Army’s network portfolio has dipped its toe in the water on two as-as-service models, it could be settings its sights next on applying the concept to edge computing, according to a top official. As-a-service models are growing more attractive to the Army given the flexibility they provide. The department last year issued awards to two companies under a pilot effort for SATCOM-as-a-managed-service to help inform a potential way ahead and possibly broader strategy for as-a-service models. It’s also just beginning to kick off a radio-as-a-service pilot. https://lnkd.in/eUFRBwAd

With Photon we reimagined RF Spectrum processing using accelerated computing technologies we integrated with software defined radios. I want to claim that we were one of the first, if not the first, to have a near real-time streaming visualization of a wideband (1+ GHz) RF stare with sub msec temporal resolution and sub kHz spectral resolution. That was over 7 years ago… oh how far we have come since then…. Imagine harnessing the horse power of the most recent advances in accelerated edge compute and low equity sensors… into something that weighs less than 3 lbs, but is still a power house wideband RF search and survey system. All made possible through our outstanding partnerships with Dover Microwave Products Group - Espy Corp. and General Micro Systems
RII was invited to be part of the US Army's recent NetModX experiment with our Dragonfly technology, the next generation of accelerated spectrum processing and a full Espy teamSENTINEL node. In our role as the red cell signals intelligence (SIGINT) team, Dragonfly detected radio frequency (RF) signatures and signals in the spectrum and added another layer of realism to the exercise. Read more about NetModX in Defense News: https://lnkd.in/eP_CwzTM RII is proud to participate in these types of exercises to ensure the US and our allies are leveraging the latest technology to build stronger, more resilient capabilities.

This is the customary farewell post. After three days, 13 setups and hundreds of conversations, #EuMW2024 has come to an end. But rather than tell you how happy we are with how it all went (very), we want to leave you with three key insights from this year’s show: - There is a high demand for possibilities to test satellite components under realistic conditions, before sending them to space. - Many visitors asked about the capability to input proprietary signals into Rohde & Schwarz instruments, to apply impairments or interferers. - Our Pulse Sequencer’s ability to define and generate complex scenarios in a way that allows users to specify every detail in the application, surprised and impressed the #EuMW crowd Thank you to everyone who came by our booth. And if you didn’t manage to make it, you can keep abreast of the latest product launches, news and developments, by signing up to our personalized newsletter: http://ms.spr.ly/6043m5XbF

A very comprehensive article on how big tech operates and infiltrates. Although, it should have gone a step further. Who owns big tech = the big three .Who controls the big three? Considering they control the data, and have the biggest stake in 85% of the S&P 500, considering they are the most important shareholders in the military industry. If one knows who control these three, one knows who controls the world. And it's not the political elite. https://lnkd.in/e-WcwwaW

ABMS: The Modern God of War Imagine Mars, the ancient god of war, gazing from the heavens, directing his warriors on Earth. In modern warfare, the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) plays a similar role, using cloud computing and artificial intelligence to coordinate forces across domains. ABMS gathers data from a network of sensors and delivers strategic insights, enabling real-time decision-making that feels almost "beyond human." As the DoD’s newest command and control initiative, ABMS is reshaping the battlefield. #C2, #ABMSDoD, and #JADC2 #ArtificialIntelligence #CloudComputing
