Research published by Vodafone Foundation today points to unequal adoption of and preparedness for AI, specifically in the context of education systems, which could exacerbate the existing digital skills gap in Europe.

Continuing our glimpse into some of the results from our AI benchmarking self-evaluation, today we are focusing on some of the gaps that were identified at the participating schools. These findings are consistent with what we've heard from over 1500 school and sector leaders at conferences and talks: teachers lack the guidance around the safe and appropriate use of AI tools, and which tools should be used. To that end, EDUCATE Ventures Research has also recently launched a professional learning community "Safe AI in Schools", which is currently open for early access. Our Assistant Head of School and Head of Upper School, Ben Farrell, was featured in a National Association of Independent Schools piece. In his article, he wrote about emerging tech in the classroom.
