Currently, we are supporting 20 brilliant graduate students from 8 universities across 4 countries through the capacity-building program for Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Current and Emerging Threats to Crops (CETC IL). However, our mission extends beyond mere financial support to students. We are fostering a vibrant community where knowledge knows no borders. Our talented students gather weekly to share research progress, analyze papers, and acquire new skills. This knowledge-sharing is at the heart of our PlantVillage and CETC-IL community, enabling us to blend local wisdom with research-backed evidence for effective farming solutions. Many of our graduate students also serve as field officers in their home countries, ensuring our best research findings swiftly reach farmers, bridging the gap between researchers and farmers like never before. And the big news - We're extending our research fund to graduate students in Nepal! 🇳🇵 Selected students will have the unique opportunity to collaborate directly with our field staff and connect with a global network of PlantVillage scholars and scientists. My best recommendations for Green Dealflow

LinkedIn seems to have an abundance of recruiters positing everyday, yet it seems like the same positions are being advertised for months even years at a time. Are these positions too hard to fill? Are we looking for candidates who are perfect on paper? Or when candidates finally find out what the salary is, is it not worth the mile long list of duties and qualifications that come with it? There is something broken with the recruiting process on LinkedIn. I was laid off a couple of years ago and can personally speak to the frustration of being qualified/over qualified for a role and never hearing back on 95%+ of applications I submitted and then even being ghosted after completing five interviews for one role (never even received an email that the company was going with another candidate). Job seekers are looking for a means to support themselves/families and now seem to be at the mercy of an AI algorithm or overworked/underpaid recruiting team. Something needs to change…
