As we work to build a more sustainable aerospace industry, we've released our 2024 Sustainability Spotlight for the UK & Ireland. The report highlights our progress and achievements from 2023 as we continue the work to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050. Achievements in 2023 included: ✈️ Being part of the team that saw the first commercial aeroplane — a 787 Dreamliner — fly across the Atlantic on 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). 🌱 Collaborating across the region to develop SAF in partnership with the University of Sheffield Energy Innovation Centre (EIC). 🤗 Donating over £430,000 to 13 UK organisations along with more than €69,000 to support two charities in Ireland. 🤝 Announcing an £80 million joint industry and government investment to research and develop new composite manufacturing processes at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) in South Yorkshire. 🌱🌍 Reflecting on Our Company's Sustainability Efforts This Earth Day   Since July 2021, our collaboration with AfB social & green IT has been key. As a non-profit IT company, they refurbish and resell our outsourced hardware, actively extending the service life of IT and mobile equipment. Recently, our team in #Munich received an official certificate, highlighting the concrete joint achievements:   ♻️In 2023, we achieved a reuse rate of 70% and a recycle rate of 30%. But that's not all, as we... 👉reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 26,885 kg CO2-eq 👉saved 156,948 liters of water 👉cut primary energy consumption by 104,591 kw/h 👉and preserved 11,683 kg of Fe-eq raw materials.   Kudos to our #EmployeeTech Team for driving this green initiative forward.🙌 #AutoScout24Cares #EarthDay #CircularEconomy
