Over Christmas and New Year, The TRU East Alliance successfully completed a major bridge replacement as part of the Transpennine Route Upgrade. In just five days, a 100-strong team of engineers removed the existing railway bridge on Osmondthorpe Lane in Leeds and installed a new, 200 tonne structure using a self-propelled modular transport (SPMT) vehicle. This video shows the extent of work undertaken by all involved. For high-risk, time-critical operations like this, our 4D simulations provided a vital platform for detailed sequencing, risk mitigation, and collaborative decision-making. This project highlights the immense value of SYSTRA Vision in de-risking and streamlining complex rail infrastructure works.
