As we take a deep look at certain sectors we believe we could actually outperform the market. We look at the economic cycle, which as you know, we are in a downward trend, a recessionary period coming into a bottoming phase. As with all cycles, eventually, there will be a recovery and expansion phase. If you look at the historical points of these economic phases, as we enter into a recovery phase things like commodities, energy and resources all tend to outperform other sectors in the market. We’re simply looking at the past 100 years, the past economic cycles, and what industries perform best during each phase. It’s not rocket science, it’s rational thinking and analysis.
Billionaire investor Stanley Druckenmiller has made significant changes to his portfolio, notably selling 88% of Duquesne Capital's stake in Nvidia to heavily invest in Philip Morris International and Kinder Morgan. He purchased nearly $90.1 million worth of Philip Morris shares, capitalizing on the company's strong pricing power and its pivot towards smokeless products, which now account for a substantial portion of revenue. Additionally, Druckenmiller increased his investment in Kinder Morgan by 74%, benefiting from its stable cash flow model as a midstream energy firm operating on long-term fixed-fee contracts. These strategic moves reflect his confidence in companies capable of navigating market challenges while pursuing long-term growth.
