By the early 1990s the whole classic roadster era of sports cars was all but over. Manufacturers such as MG, Triumph, and Fiat had either left the market or completely gone out of business. Adding to that, Mazda had released the Miata which made people even less interested in a classic sports car, especially when the Miata did everything those old cars did and did it better. Sensible decision making, is what comes to mind when I look at the most sold cars to private customers since 2017. It also clearly shows in my opinion that the electrification of smaller segments will be important in order to reach the EV targets that EU hast set out.

Each year in April, the Alfa Romeo Club of Oregon puts on the ‘Old Spider Tour’ to celebrate Alfa convertibles built prior to 1966. One Of Earliest Shelby Cobras Expected To Fetch $2.5 Million https://lnkd.in/eafgu9ph An original and well-kept Mk1 Shelby 260 Cobra is looking for a new home but is expected to rake in as much as $2.5 million when it crosses the block at Gooding & Company's upcoming Pebble Beach Auction. Only 75 examples of the Shelby 260 Cobra were built, including street-legal cars, factory team cars, independently prepared race cars, and a lone Dragonsnake edition. Of all those, 62 were street cars, of which this immaculate 5,200-mile example was one. While not as special as Shelby's personal 427 Super Snake, this Cobra is one of the first few original ones in the US. The vehicle comes with Chassis Number CSX2034, which has less than 5,200 miles on the odometer, with some of those including testing by Car and Driver magazine, as this car was featured in the March 1963 edition.
