Slovenia is small. Slovenia can't compete with big nations. Slovenia has only few hundred football players, basketball players, volleyball players... Few cyclists. Slovenia can't do this and that.. Why doesn’t Ireland have multiple indoor sporting arenas capable of holding between 8-10 thousand people all over the country?? With the weather getting worse year on year, surely it makes both sporting and commercial sense! What’s the reason for not building them? Is it that investors/Government think they won’t be commercially viable? Indoor sports like Basketball, Ice-Hockey, Figure skating, Futsal, Olympic Handball, etc… would thrive in these venues. These venues could be used 365 days of the year. Basketball is thriving in Ireland at the moment, we recently hosted a thrilling Davis Cup tie against Austria in the University of Limerick, yet are limited to venues with limited capacity. Much smaller countries than Ireland have venues like this, yet we don’t 🤷🏻♂️ Surely it’s a no brainer to build these type of venues! #builditandtheywillcome #sports #ireland #arenas

The European Championship in Handball 2024 is well underway, and while the results haven't been ideal, it's not over yet. Iceland has at least two more games to go, and we're determined to win them both, starting with tomorrow's match against Croatia 🇭🇷, followed by Wednesday's against Austria 🇦🇹. I'm confident that we can do it. Many have asked why we're sponsoring the Icelandic handball team. There are a few reasons. Firstly, the European Championship is taking place in Germany 🇩🇪 , where our headquarters are located and later this year the women team will hopefully qualify for EM in Austria 🇦🇹 . Secondly, we have a strong connection to handball and believe it's a great opportunity to increase our brand visibility in both markets. Despite managing some of the largest websites in Iceland and Germany, we've been relatively unknown until now and this is a great opportunity to start promoting our company to a larger audience. LTA – the governing body for tennis and padel – has launched its new strategy for padel in Britain, with a vision to open the sport up to more people across the country and with an ambition to grow the sport by making it more accessible, welcoming, enjoyable and inspiring. The strategy, which covers the period from 2024 to 2029, maintains the LTA’s focus on growing the infrastructure of padel, increasing and diversifying the coaching workforce and building on the performance pathway as well as increasing visibility and driving participation. It is estimated that the number of padel courts in the UK has increased from around 50 in 2019 to more than 400 this year (2024). David Szlezak stays Managing Director of EHF Marketing   The European Handball Federation has extended the contract with David Szlezak, Managing Director of EHF Marketing , for another four years until 30 June 2028. Since taking on the role in 2016, Szlezak has played a key role in enhancing the appeal of European club handball competitions. Initially responsible for 12 employees, the number has since doubled and he now leads a team of 25 people that works on the exploitation of the rights of the club competitions.
