Volvo Group has set the ambitious target to become a carbon-neutral company by 2040. Already in 2020, in partnership with the Science Based Target initiative, Volvo Group created a set of goals to progress against. The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) helps organizations set targets in line with the latest climate science to keep global warming as low as possible, in accordance with the Paris Climate Agreement. The Science Based Targets initiative is the most coveted initiative regarding climate strategy 🌏 It sets out criteria to ensure that an emissions reduction target is aligned with keeping global warming below 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. It defines also a Net Zero pathway for companies. Thousands companies worldwide have engaged in this validation process, which is becoming the benchmark for any credible ambition. 🤝 It may seem blury but here's where we can help, we supported many of our clients through their SBTi journey. The Kyoto Protocol was an international treaty which extended the 1992 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) that commits state parties to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, based on the scientific consensus that global warming is occurring and that human-made CO2 emissions are driving it. The Kyoto Protocol was adopted in Kyoto, Japan, on 11 December 1997 and entered into force on 16 February 2005. There were 192 parties (Canada withdrew from the protocol, effective December 2012) to the Protocol in 2020

Happy Zero Emissions Day 2023! Greenhouse gas emissions are one of the primary culprits of climate change. For example, carbon dioxide contributes to 54% of global warming. As more climate disasters seep through our everyday lives, steps taken to reduce the effects of emissions should be a priority. Individual action when done from a collective standpoint is powerful. The little things we do everyday can contribute in some way. Here are some tips that we can try to incorporate! #ClearSkiesForAll #taknakjerebu #transboundaryhaze #airpollution #cleanairisahumanright #righttocleanair #hazefreemalaysia #cerahasia #zeroemissionsday
