After the European Championships is before the Olympics! 🌍   While we in Germany are still looking back on the successful European Football Championships, the next major sporting event is casting its shadow ahead: the Olympic Games in the French capital Paris! The games start today and run until August 11. This will be the third time Paris has hosted the Games after 1900 and 1924, and the sixth time the Games have been held in France.   On behalf of our French sister company #KEBO France, we are also very much looking forward to the competitions. Earlier today, i witnessed the return of the #Netherlands #Olympic team to Rotterdam! With an impressive haul of 34 medals, they've secured the 6th spot globally. Huge congratulations! 👏🏽🇳🇱 The Olympics is more than just a competition—it's a celebration of dedication, sportsmanship, and the incredible power of unity. Athletes from around the world come together, not just to compete, but to showcase the pinnacle of human effort and cooperation. Yet this year, I found myself unable to watch the competitions. Something felt off…. Have we forgotten the true spirit of the Olympics? It seems our focus has shifted to "Me, Me, Me"—my safety, my money, my views. Are we losing sight of what truly matters? Today's leaders often seem to envision a future for only a select few. We need a new vision—one that embraces balance and inclusivity. A world where accountability matters, where supporting actions like genocide is met with consequence, and where true unity is at the forefront. Over the decades representing professionals we noticed that clients with an “attitude” and narrow minded stubbornness are less successful than the open minded and hard working ones. Today the Lausitzer Rundschau published an article about one of our clients who contacted me together with his parents in 2012 when he was about to turn 18, because he wanted to “go pro” in Germany/DFB: Daniel Stanese is THE best example of a perfect client and I am very proud to say that our plan and strategy in his soccer career worked out 100%! (To be fair: some would say it worked out 500% 😉). The career Daniel and me created in bullet point: 1. FC Nürnberg , FC Augsburg 1907 , Canada Soccer senior national team player, Vfr Aalen, FC Energie Cottbus e.V. , FC Carl Zeiss Jena . This huge soccer success, nobody in Canada at that time predicted or believed in, is by far not Daniels biggest success and achievement! I think a photo speaks more that words: ⬇️

The opening ceremonies of the 1972 Munich Olympic Games, captured on film, the first Olympics I can remember, with the entrance of the Olympic flame, accompanied by the greatest middle distance runners of the world including Kip Keino and Jim Ryun who competed on this track. These Games that began in such overt joy (and synthesizer music) and hope ended tragically and so the hopes of the city of Munich and of West Germany to finally put the horrors of the past in the past were dashed in violence. The murder of the Israeli athletes who came only to compete remains a tear in the fabric of sport. The Olympic Games, even with the attendant politics, commercialism, and corruption that accompany them, for me represent the purest of striving and of hope for the future. As the youth of the world assembles in Paris, a city of incomparable beauty, it is both my hope and prayer, that these Games go off without violence and honor the spirit of the athletes assembled and that even in a divided contentious world we can celebrate the human spirit. By the time they end, I do know that the athletes in victory and defeat will have honored that spirit. I am fortunate enough, after being an 8 year-old watching those Munich opening ceremonies from my Grandmother's sofa, to now work with several sport organizations from the U.S. and Canada competing in Paris and who are living the vision of a better world I saw for the first time on display in Munich. #Olympics #OlympicSpirit #Paris2024 #OlympicHistory #ValueofSport #Aspriation #BeautyofSport
