Hello great minds, join me as we demystify this eye myth😁 Let's go... There are two major types of corrective lenses: convex lenses (plus) and concave lenses (minus lenses). Convex lenses are virtual magnifiers, i.e., objects viewed through them appear bigger in size. Concave lenses are virtual minifiers, i.e, objects viewed through them appear smaller in size. So, when you look at the eyes of someone wearing concave lenses, their eyes will virtually appear smaller in size. This simply means that the concave lens is making the eyeballs look smaller, when viewed through them. It DOES NOT mean that in reality, the eyeballs are shrinking in size, as a result of continuous wear of concave lenses.
