The #streaming boom has made it essential for SVOD/AVOD/TVOD services to build strong #observability. In my latest for #APMDigest, I cover the importance of proper #monitoring tools for streamers. Streaming has grown nearly 5x since 2021; nearly 240 separate streaming services exist in North America alone. As the industry becomes more crowded, it’s paramount for companies to minimize the risk of service disruptions that impact the consumer experience. When customers have such a wealth of options before them, they’re likely to switch platforms at the first sign of service degradation. This is where strong observability comes into play. The titans of streaming – Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, etc… – have the time and resources to build bespoke, in-house observability solutions. But these standards are only aspirational to smaller streamers, particularly in the burgeoning FAST space. To keep up with their larger competitors, smaller streaming services should consider: 💸 The "hidden costs" of observability ⚙️ Getting #DevOps back to important feature work 🔍 The sensitivity of their entire stack Full article linked in the comments:

Streaming Agent Messages with LangGraph.js The newest video in our LangGraph.js series covers each method of streaming messages from the server - client. It covers everything from only streaming updates, to streaming every event which occurs throughout the run. This video is a must if you're building apps with user interactions!
Day 4 of LangGraph.js week: Agent Streaming Streaming is at the heart of responsive agent-user experiences. Since agent tasks can take time to complete, streaming helps your agent meet user expectations by providing user feedback as your app makes progress. Today, we’re showcasing an example of streaming results from an agent built with LangGraph.js to a Next.js frontend. You’ll be able to explore each of LangGraph’s four different streaming modes: events, messages, updates, and values. Try it out to get a sense for which mode would best fit your app’s use-case! 📺 Video: https://lnkd.in/gyr3bBx9 📦 Repo: https://lnkd.in/gxB_6bWh 📓 Docs: https://lnkd.in/gywrcRDC

💡 Streaming is a game-changer when it comes to enhancing the responsiveness of agent-based apps, and LangGraph.js really showcases its power in this example! 🚀 🎯 Agent Streaming is crucial for building a seamless user experience, especially when agent tasks require time to process. By providing real-time feedback, you ensure that users stay engaged and informed about the progress of your app's tasks. 🔍 Exploring the four streaming modes offered by LangGraph.js—events, messages, updates, and values—is a fantastic way to understand how to optimize for different app behaviors: Events: Best for triggering actions in response to specific agent milestones. Messages: Ideal for streaming real-time conversational responses or notifications. Updates: Great for progress tracking, especially in long-running tasks. Values: Use this when you need to show incremental results as they are calculated. 📦 Connecting this with a Next.js frontend provides a robust architecture that makes it easy to build dynamic applications where users are always in the loop. The flexibility in choosing the right streaming mode depending on your use case can significantly improve user interaction and overall app performance. The repo and video make it easy to dive in and see these streaming modes in action—definitely an invaluable resource for anyone looking to push their app’s responsiveness to the next level. Thanks for sharing this incredible example of what’s possible with LangGraph.js! #LangGraph #AgentStreaming #Nextjs #JavaScript #FrontendDevelopment #RealTimeData #AI #WebDevelopment #ThanksForSharing 🌐📡
