Very lucky to be treated to an afternoon at the races yesterday, thanks David Smithson Stewart Goldsmith the afternoon tea was 😘 Hung out with lots of other Accountants and chat turned to September filing deadlines. September is a super busy month for us Accountants as so many companies have December year ends. However, what we all agreed was that this glut could be totally avoided if all clients got their records to us nice and early So a few tips; 1. Make sure you get your accounting records to your Accountant as soon after the year end as possible. This gives plenty of time to prepare the accounts and have meaningful discussions before any deadlines start looming. 2. Be prompt with any queries that your sent, often we just can’t progress a job if we don’t have certain information. 3. If you’re sending your records to your Accountant early and still experiencing a ‘last minute rush’ think about whether you are really getting the best service and advice. 4. Be patient, we don’t just have one client so make sure you’re reasonable with turnaround times (pretty please ☺️).
