Day 48 of building Friend-Verse: Today, I began implementing Zustand for global state management. After setting it up, I proceeded to add functionalities for both light and dark modes and then styled the dark mode accordingly. As a result, users are now able to seamlessly switch between light and dark modes, enhancing their overall experience on the platform. #socialmedia #frontenddeveloper #webdeveloper #programmer #building #programming #tech #email #hiring #hiringdevelopers #hireme #techcommunity #webdevelopment #webdeveloper #softwareengineer

How often do you come across the infamous "demo effect"? You know the feeling: everything was working perfectly just moments before the demo, and you've even passed through several quality gates. But then, for some unexpected reason, things start to go off track when others, especially customers, are watching. Ever been there?😅 #work #job #developer #programmer #engineer #project #programming #development #it #humor #ithumor

Software engineering often feels akin to embarking on a thrilling quest in an RPG, where every task is an opportunity to conquer challenges and achieve greatness. 🚀 There are these 5 elements, that we usually encounter: → Embarking on the Journey ↳ Much like picking up a quest from the menu in your favourite RPG, we start by selecting a task from our backlog. This is the moment when our adventure begins! → Consulting with the Guide ↳ Just as adventurers confer with their trusty companions before setting off, we sit down with our Program Manager (our quester) to understand the scope and objectives of our quest. → Preparing for the Adventure ↳ Before heading out, we equip ourselves with the tools and knowledge needed for our journey. Estimating story points and creating tickets serve as our map and compass in the world of coding. → The Quest Unfolds ↳ Here is where the real magic happens. Each quest is a unique blend of challenges and trials. These can range from battling bugs and configuring systems to navigating through countless meetings and distractions. We also extend a hand to our fellow colleagues when they need help, just like adventurers aiding one another in times of need. Unit tests and PR reviews are like tests of skill and knowledge that make us grow stronger with each passing day. → Unveiling the True Purpose ↳ Ultimately, behind every quest lies the real reason to go – the customer story. This is the treasure we seek, the purpose that fuels our journey. It's the moment we deliver a solution that brings value and satisfaction to our customers, reminding us why we embarked on this adventure in the first place. Indeed, it's during those trials and tribulations in step #4 that we, as software engineers, experience the most profound growth and learning. Just like in the world of RPGs, it's not the destination but the journey itself that shapes us into skilled and resilient adventurers in the realm of code. So, embrace each quest, and may your code always lead you to epic victories!
