Is your grocery delivery guilty of environmental harm? With the rise of online shopping, the environmental impact of packaging waste is more significant than ever. Delivery services add to this problem by using large amounts of single-use paper bags that end up in landfills after just one use. ♻️ BOIDEL founders Karolin Maiwald, Julian Faust, and Benjamin Kaltenbach say there's a better way. Let's find out what the founders have to say about the initiative: 💡 “BOIDEL provides businesses with a solution to act more sustainably without any additional effort. By offering reusable bags through a deposit system, both companies and customers can participate in remodelling delivery services to be more environmentally friendly. Our service ensures the consistent delivery of clean bags to our partners, along with the infrastructure for a deposit-based ecosystem. This way we make reusing bags as convenient as disposing them.” Not only does BOIDEL's solution help businesses reduce their environmental footprint, but it also positions them as socially responsible entities. Customers appreciate the opportunity to participate in sustainable practices without any additional hassle. It's a win-win for everyone involved. 👉Connect with Karolin Maiwald, Julian Faust and Benjamin Kaltenbach to learn more about BOIDEL's innovative solution and how you can be part of the movement towards sustainable practices. #avantnow #FutureIsNow #unleashyourimpact #ImpactfulFutures #NetPositiveFuture #AvantNow #Entrepreneurship #TechForGood #StartupAcceleration #recycle #circular

🌊 Happy World Ocean Day! 🌊 As we celebrate the beauty and importance of our oceans today, it's crucial to reflect on the impact our everyday choices have on these vital ecosystems. One often overlooked issue is the environmental impact of sanitary napkins. Did you know that a single sanitary napkin can take up to 800 years to decompose? Most are made with plastic, which not only lingers in landfills but often ends up in our oceans, contributing to the growing problem of marine pollution. These plastics break down into microplastics, which are ingested by marine life and can disrupt entire ecosystems. Here’s how we can make a difference: Opt for Sustainable Alternatives: Consider using reusable menstrual products like menstrual cups, cloth pads, or biodegradable sanitary napkins. Proper Disposal: Ensure sanitary products are disposed of correctly and avoid flushing them down the toilet. Support Brands with Sustainable Practices: Encourage companies to produce eco-friendly products and reduce plastic use in their packaging. Let's commit to making more sustainable choices to protect our oceans. Every small action counts toward a healthier planet. 🌍💙 #WorldOceanDay #Sustainability #PlasticPollution #EcoFriendly #MenstrualHealth #ProtectOurOceans #KatapultOcean

Diving into plastic recycling and sustainability. Meet the two startups from BS Entrepreneurship program from Institute of Business Management, one startup (Sustainable Builders) working on providing a sustainable alternative to concrete brick while using recycled plastic to produce bricks that are stronger as well as aesthetically better. Starting off the new year strong with Rheaply's guest blog program, and the first piece of the year is a good one! Bryce Hesterman at RRS (Resource Recycling Systems) shared about the NextCycle accelerator program, which is a golden opportunity for founders of startups with a mission of rethinking waste to secure early funding and support. If you're interested, check it out and apply! State-supported accelerators like NextCycle Colorado, NextCycle Washington, and NextCycle Michigan are critically important in disrupting and innovating our broken linear economy at the speed and scale needed. Well done to these states! Just recently, Positive News published an article about the 10th anniversary of the Green Alley Award: https://lnkd.in/eKk9kMPc They had these (positive!) words to say about the list of soon-to-be 60 finalists who will have competed for our award: “It is a bulging-with-hope list of solutions that disrupt the accepted system of making products to be consumed and dumped at considerable cost to the planet.” The article sets the context that drove us to launch the award: the depletion of natural resources and our determination to support circular economy policies that will decouple economic growth from their use. I hope to see you at the final in Berlin, where Positive New’s Martin Wright will join me on the jury. You can register your place in the comment below. This week, after intense discussion, we chose the five remaining startups who will join Novapedra in the final. Let’s take a closer look at them in the coming weeks… #circulareconomy #startups #recycling #wasteprevention
