So hello everyone, I'm delighted to share with you why the European Innovation Council is proud, very proud to partner with the W Lounge for the Tech Awards competition and initiatives that highlight Germanys remarkable achievements in deep tech. As you know, deeptech is A at the art of solving some of the world's most pressing challenges. It encompasses groundbreaking innovations in areas such as digital and deep tech. Clean tech biotech feels where Europe has the talent and ambition to lead. And through initiatives like the Tech Awards, we can shine a spotlight on the incredible works being down by EIC founded. Companies and beyond showcasing therefore our Europes innovators are making a global impact. Often referred to. As Germany Tech Oscars as a Tech Gala is a prestigious event that cannot be envisioned without Europe largest public investors in deep tech, the so-called EIC. So we see that this is for us a vital opportunity to strengthen connection with Germany's key innovation players and local ecosystems. So Tech Gala enables us to enhance cooperation and build. Bridges that bring visionary entrepreneurs closer to the transformative support the EIC is offering. Our goal is very clear. We want EIC to be well known among the innovators and entrepreneurs attending this event. We want to explain our unique offerings and demonstrate how we can help accelerate and scale up their business, turning groundbreaking ideas into global successes. At the IC, we understand that fostering deep tech innovation requires much more than just reconnected recognition. It demands substantial support and strategic investment. With the total budget of over ���10 billion, The IC program is today Europe's flagship initiative that empower researchers and entrepreneurs, and approximately 70% of this budget is allocated to our flagship scheme. The EIC Accelerator, which offers a balanced mix of grants and equity investment for startup and SME's that are deep tech oriented. A key feature of the new EPIC program that I would like to highlight in view of this important event is the introduction of big tickets under the so-called step call, offering investment ranging from 10 to 30 million from our side and leveraging therefore up to. 150, maybe 200 million rounds of investment, which is complementing, in fact, uh, what we are doing already within the AC. This significant funding opportunities have the objective to scale up strategic technologies, tackle global challenges and enhance the competitiveness of European companies on the global stage Horizon Europe and in particular EIC. Is one of the 11 programs implementing the STEP Regulation, the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform Regulation, that the European Commission has adopted in February 2024. This regulation seeks to integrate groundbreaking technologies into the single market and to reduce Europe's reliance on other regions. With initiative like the Tech Awards, we aim to amplify the message that deep tech is not just a technological revolution, it's a social and societal one. With coordinated efforts at both national and European levels, we can ensure that Europe remains a powerhouse of innovation and a beacon of sustainability and progress to all the visionary entrepreneurs that will be with us this Saturday. 14th December. My message is simple. Size the opportunities around you, find the partners you need to scale up and disrupt markets. And remember, the EIC is here to support you every step of the way.
