At TheCaseMade, we are big on practicing what we preach. This week, it's Dr. Tiffany Manuel's turn, in this great op-ed in her local paper. If you want the public to think differently about ending homelessness, you have to talk differently about ending homelessness. #reimaginehowjusticewins #thecasemade

In the Twin Cities, two noteworthy projects, the MACV Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans and Avivo Build Projects, through Lennar and Housing First Minnesota Foundation, have brought hope and transformation to the community. The goal is to impact the lives of those affected by homelessness significantly. Currently, 250 veterans are registered as homeless. To address this issue, 15 homes have been constructed so far, aiding in transitioning individuals out of homelessness. Looking ahead to 2025, the plan is to establish a campus comprising alternative dwelling units (ADUs). The envisioned campus could accommodate up to 30 ADUs, substantially contributing to the fight against homelessness. https://lnkd.in/g_v3sUFD

In a world where action speaks louder than words, let's embody the true spirit of love. "If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?" This scripture isn't just words; it's a call to action. A reminder that our love, grounded in faith, must move us to act, especially towards those facing the harsh reality of homelessness. From 2022 to 2023, we've seen an 11% increase in unsheltered homelessness. These aren't mere statistics; they represent real people in need of our compassion and help. City Relief is more than a name; it's our mission. We're here to provide shelter, fight for affordable housing, address racial and economic injustice, and support uplifting services. Because love, the kind that's real and filled with faith, acts. Together, we can turn our collective love into a force that changes the world, one act of kindness at a time. #EndHomelessness #LoveInAction #VolunteerOpportunities #SocialImpact #CommunitySupport #DonateToHelp #HousingFirst #StreetOutreach #HomelessSupport #FaithInAction

🏠💚 At HOME, we believe in the power of unity. A system that works together, focusing on the individual needs of each person, is crucial to our mission of sustainably ending homelessness. In 2023, we enhanced our collaborative efforts with community partners through joint education and training sessions. 🤝🏾 📚 We've also implemented a new system that allows for rapid and coordinated responses, ensuring that people in crisis receive the help they need promptly and efficiently. 🚀 🆘 Together, we are making strides towards ending homelessness for good. End homelessness in America. We believe ending homelessness in America begins with a sandwich. Our goal, beyond simply providing a PB&J sandwich to those in need, is to acknowledge and recognize the often overlooked homeless individuals and families in our community. When you see those experiencing homeless, one of the questions you may ask yourself is, “What more can I do?” We pray that what begins with a PB&J sandwich grows into much more for those who serve. In small ways, each of us can address homelessness in America. And together, we can end it. Our approach covers three initiatives to fulfill our vision: Educate Advocate Allocate Education represents increasing public awareness. Advocate is increasing support to not only host a PB&J Day, but to seek policy change and expanded community support to develop solutions. Allocate is the giving of our time, talent, and treasure (physical or monetary resources) to support PB&J Days and beyond. To learn more about how you can start a PB&J Day in your area or support us directly in San Antonio, please go to our website, pbandjdays.com. #food #SpreadKindness #pbandjdays #MakeADifference #help #service #homeless #endhomelessness

President's Post: In the words of Michael Block, the CEO of All Roads (formerly the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless), "Fighting homelessness can sometimes seem like pushing a big rock up a steep hill. So when there’s good news, it’s great to point it out and build on it." And this is some positive progress to report: https://lnkd.in/gfvYZXtG. The Boulder Chamber's partnership with All Roads in support of the Day Service Center and in creating housing options, like the Bluebird permanent supportive building, are elements of the progress we can make through collaborative efforts to meet the needs of our unhoused population and to address the business and community impacts of homelessness. Let's keep pushing forward!

The National Alliance to End Homelessness recently released the results of new public opinion poll about how Americans view homelessness. Of the many findings, direct service providers and nonprofit organizations are perceived to be among the most trusted to handle the work that builds solutions for homelessness, but there is a recognition that these organizations don't have enough resources. Given that homelessness in the United States is currently at the highest levels in the history of record keeping by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, organizations like CaringWorks are more critical than ever in implementing proven solutions to end homelessness. Read the summary of the opinion poll at https://rebrand.ly/rqcwyge, and learn how you can be part of the solution to end homelessness by supporting CaringWorks at caringworksinc.org. #endhomelessness #caringworks
