Totally agree with your point Unit testing is important and help to identify quick bugs. It may not cover all use cases but it cover all crashes due to minor mistakes

The worst thing you can do as a QA is make an assumption. 1. "I think this feature is supposed to work like this." Stop right there! Go to the product owner and ask how the feature is expected to work. Always ask for acceptance criteria rather than assuming it. 2. "A user would never do this." Bruh, that's an assumption. A user could do literally anything. Users are not bound to play by the rules, and neither should you as a QA. So, always ask questions when you're confused and be creative while testing. Test it like you're the dumbest person in the world, and then test it like you're the smartest person in the world. #SQA #Qualityassurance #testing
