We're thrilled to have been chosen for the Big Give's Arts for Impact campaign. This fundraising opportunity is doubly special as all donations are match-funded by New Philanthropy for Arts & Culture. The campaign is open from midday Tuesday 19th March - midday Tuesday 26th March 2024 so that's one week to help us reach our target. Why do we need your support? Good question. As an arts charity with over 40 years' experience, our work seeks to engage with people living with dementias, and their formal and/or informal carers. Through our creative programme, we focus on reaching people who experience multiple and overlapping forms of health and culture inequalities. Such groups tend to be time poor, have limited disposable income, and experience low confidence in accessing public space and cultural activities. Our creative programme, such as the On the Beach experience, is provided free or on a Pay What You Can basis to those who need it. It's not a stretch to say that the funding landscape for arts organisations has become increasingly difficult in the last few years. A mixture of fewer grants available for creative health wellbeing projects and increased competition for those few that are, means that sometimes we have to rely on our friends and allies to support our work. What will we do with the money? Our target for this campaign is to reach £5000 - that's £2500 in donations from you, which would be doubled by NPAC to make a total of £5000. This money would be used for: £890 towards the creation, printing and postage of easy read 'social stories' for participants £2,350 towards a lead workshop facilitator (cost for 10 workshops plus planning and prep) £1,760 towards an assistant workshop facilitator (for 10 workshops) Match funding creates a fantastic opportunity for every donation to become even more of a contribution, so now is your chance to really make a difference. 📧 Don't Forget to Email 📧 Our bi-monthly emails are a huge part of our business! They help us showcase our clients' listings, update families on the state of the SATX Housing Market, give people insights & advice on real estate, spotlight charities, highlight other local businesses... and our database loves getting them (so it seems) 🤩 Our latest email went out on Sunday morning. So far, it has a 42.3% open rate and only one person unsubscribed. Also, a past client texted us after receiving our email yesterday to let us know they are interested in selling their home 👍 Now, like with so many things we do to grow our business and stay in front of people, we don't cast a wide marketing net: our database has less than 500 people in it. However, we think the individuals who receive our emails are highly engaged with us, love us for who we are and how we do business, and would probably feel very comfortable hiring us to help them or referring us to others! What more could we ask for from some amazing people 🤗 So, don't sleep on emails! They could be a great way to stay connected to your database and help you grow 👍 If you have specific questions about our emails, the software we use to send them, templates we use, or anything you may be interested in as a small business owner/entrepreneur, send me a message!
