WHAT IS VENETIAN PLASTER? This is a question I get asked often, which is why I chose to create this video showing the whole process. https://lnkd.in/g8bCfniv Venetian plaster is not render, it is not paint, it is natural lime based plaster with marble dust, yes real marble crushed into fine dust! Basically you are creating a real marble wall with only 2-3mm thickness. IS IT EXPENSIVE? YES, it is more expensive than paint, more expensive than render and normal solid plaster but a lot cheaper than using a custom marble piece. For this video I used Marmorino fine, which is not as shinny and reflective as the high polished version. However, the Marmorino finish can not be replicated with anything else, that's why every single wall is a unique piece itself. I hope you guys enjoy the video and learn something from it. Please share this video and subscribe to my Chanel so I can keep creating more content to share with you. #beeswax #venetian-plaster #marmorino #stucco #diy #artisan #handcraft #howto #stepbystep

Look at the difference between Natural Facing’s real stone veneer and the manufactured stone in this picture. The real stone, shown on the left, has color variation and textures that can only be found in nature. On the right, the manufactured stone, made from cement and aggregates, will not only damage easily, it will show the damage and chips prominently. The painted surface also has a more uniform texture and color, creating a dull appearance.
