My sweet friends on LinkedIn, many of our founder friends have lost homes and businesses in the CA fires. We have put together a list of resources and ways we can all support— from where to donate and shop from and more. If you have resources to share or founders in need who need support, please share the info below and we can add it to the article. 👇 As always, please reach out if there is anything else we can do at Entreprenista to help.

California’s wildfires are a call to action and I know many of us are contemplating what we can do to help. Please know that organizations like Delivering Good, Inc. are working diligently to provide essential goods to those affected, and the retail industry can help. I have lots of wonderful personal friends deeply involved with Delivering Good including: Todd Kahn, Stephen Sadove, Jaryn Bloom, Andrea Moore, Edward Hertzman, and Katie (Harris) Storer among others. For example, retail can make a difference by: • Donating excess inventory like clothing, shoes, and home goods. • Contributing financial support to help scale relief efforts. • Collaborating on logistics. I contributed. Visit the link to learn how you or your company can contribute. #DeliveringGood #CaliforniaWildfires #RetailForRelief #CommunitySupport #MakeADifference https://lnkd.in/eyEF2GyQ

September is Firefighter Appreciation Month. 🔥👨🏼🚒💙 Fires are common in the late summer months as we observed the #BridgeFire, #LineFire and the #AirportFire tear through Southern California last week. Here are some ways to honor firefighters. 🔹 Stay Informed and Evacuate When Asked: Use social platforms to raise awareness about the fires and share updates from credible sources. Always heed evacuation orders. 🔹 Moral Support: While not a material support, expressing gratitude and support through messages, social media posts, or community gatherings can boost morale among firefighters. 🔹 Donations to organizations like the Red Cross 🔹 Community Events and Recognition: -Fire Prevention Week -Meet-and-greets with firefighters where donations can also be made. 🔹 Direct Assistance: If you're in a position to give more directly, consider donating items like food, water, or supplies to local firefighting stations or through organized drives. Always check with local authorities or organizations like the Red Cross for immediate needs. 🔹 Volunteer or Support Volunteer Efforts: If you have the time, volunteering directly or supporting organizations that provide relief can be immensely helpful. 🔹 Support Legislation and Policies: Advocate for or support legislation that aids firefighters, improves fire prevention, or increases resources for fire departments. #wildfire #FirefighterAppreciationMonth #HorizonCleaners #TextileRestoration #SmokeDamage

As I’m sure everyone is aware by now, the tragedies going on in California right now are unimaginable. I’ve been trying to actively find ways that we can help out to impact in a way that is productive to the issue at hand. We won’t know where exact help is needed until the fires have been subsided and have an end point. With that being said, a good idea that was brought up was to assist those who are the front lines as they are fighting these endless fires and putting their lives on the line for their community. They are exhausted and trying their best to keep up with the constant spread of flames. Many places are donating meals and supplies to those in need including Le Great Outdoor located in Santa Monica. For now I’ve come across a few sites and options and this one in particular stuck out to me. Even with parts of Santa Monica being issued an evacuation notice, this restaurant seems to still be in a safe zone. Donate a meal if you can to these hardworking individuals (and to evacuees) or share this to your page! I’ll keep looking for ways to do my part to help out, I’ll update if I find anything else that would help helpful for us to do 🤍 the link to the site is listed below: https://lnkd.in/eX5T_tEs Shoutout to Le Great Outdoor for helping out and doing their part to support everyone affected. These are the times we need one another. Connection is important. Showing up for your community is important. Being selfless during this time is important. #CaliforniaWildfires #Wildfires #CaliforniaFires #ClimateChange #Community #firefighting #doyourpart

LAFD Fire Stations Need Your Support. “We’re so used to making it work,” shared LAFD Captain Benjamin Fazeli, describing how firefighters manage with limited resources in underserved communities. Through the Adopt-A-Fire-Station program, you can help improve the living and working conditions of the 48% of LAFD fire stations that lack adequate support. Your gift today could support the purchase of: -Hand weights for one station to maintain mental and physical health ($150). -Station tools that will help firefighters address minor maintenance needs ($350). -A new, up-to-date washer/dryer to keep firefighters’ gear and uniforms clean ($1,000). Click the link to donate today to give back to those who risk it all to keep us safe. https://lnkd.in/gH4JnC87

I know, I know. A real estate agent telling you to clean before you go to market. So original, right? But, whether you're prepping for eventual sale or simply wanting to refresh your space, here are a few things you're going to want to do asap! 🧽 Purge your pantry: get rid of everything expired, and donate anything you know you just won't use. 🧽 Clear out your desk or home office: organize your junk drawer and sort through mail piles – throw out or recycle what you don’t need! 🧽 Scrub your fridge and freezer -- it always feels good to do this! 🧽 Organize your closet – the golden rule: if you haven't worn it in over a year, toss it! 🧽 Clean out your basement or garage. These are hot spots for clutter and there are tons of organizations in need of good donations right now. Which of these tasks do you need to check off the list?
