I love to make rough storyboards before shooting videos, so that I can validate to myself and show others a first real glimpse into my head. When you have a specific vision in your head, it really helps to sketch it out, because film and animation are visual media. Seeing these storyboards, I can immediately feel the emotional frequency at which this scene is going to play out. The final sequence has clearly given life to the mere checkpoints that the storyboards were trying to touch and given us robust characters in Pumba, Timon and Simba.

It would be a much more respectful “tribute” if the whole frame was visible and not this cropped version.

Well done! I’d love to get my Fancy Pants Poodle book series into animation. Is it possible to pitch it to Walt Disney Animation Studios ?

Life is too short to work at a job you hate.

My (almost 2-year-old) watched Lion King for the first time last week. It was so hard watching him see what happened to Mufasa for the first time. The little dude was yelling "Oh no!" at the TV. It was too much.

I remember touring the animation area at DW/Hollywood Studios when they were showing clips of Hakuna Matata, before the film was released. 1994? Somewhere around then. So cool.
