Fault current level: The size of the earthing transformer should be selected based on the maximum fault current that can occur in the system. This is typically determined through fault studies and calculations. 3. Grounding system impedance: The earthing transformer should have a low enough impedance to provide a ground fault current path. The impedance is typically specified as a percentage or an ohmic value. The selection of the earthing transformer depends on the desired level of impedance for the grounding system. 4.
