"I defy the tyranny of precedent. I cannot afford the luxury of a closed mind."- Clara Barton, American Red Cross Founder
Blood is literally the only thing in our modern pharmacopeia that cannot be synthesized. In essence, it's the most natural form of medicine, and it can only come from donated (unpaid collection) blood. From platelets needed for birthing people in crisis or cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, to red blood cells creating higher quality of life for people suffering from Sickle Cell Disease, which is highly under-supported... blood is life. Literally. Donate today.
Every June 14, countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day. Join the celebration & help raise awareness of the importance of a safe & adequate blood supply. There's no substitute for blood, platelet & plasma donors! Give with the Red Cross: rcblood.org/appt
