Your #business might be brilliant with #charity and giving. But are you beans-as-currency brilliant?! I love it so much... 😂 I can't tell you why this worked. Maybe it was the low barrier to entry. Beans really are something most people can get -- not saying they're always the cheapest thing ever, but if you walk into just about any grocery store, you can find some. Maybe the concept that people could take such a common item and convert it was what did the trick. And there is the experience side, too. How often do you experience a pop-up where you can buy things with beans?! But what's just as interesting to me is that the startup was so able to think on their feet during the event. Adjusting pricing, getting more inventory...they had to make real-time decisions to keep the event going, and somehow they did that. And they were able to connect the event concept and activities to their products in an absolutely direct way, too. So as silly as this might seem, it really is a wonderful example of how you can do some good if you're resourceful and creative. So, if YOU had to do a pop-up event, how would you do it?
