Records Management issue based on a true story. In a nutshell i say Value of Records management is the amount of money your organization will pay after being taken to court of law because of lack of proper records management to track on evidence. Most organizations this time do lose multi-million of dollars and customers because of poor records keeping. After a lot of interviews from a consultant point of view, my conclusion is that most of the senior managers who have never been sued or their organisations don't really see the value of Records. In fact all information we see or hold is the final product of a Record. In this regard I am saying information sits on a record and records management is a backbone of any organisation. organizations should invest more in records and information management to remain competitive in the business environment.
