Approximately: - 90,000 strata properties registered in NSW - The median is a 3-4 storeys walk up, 8-12 units. - An old tiled roof of around 300 m2, weighing 15-20 tons - $500,000 in upcoming capital works needed - The average value of airspace above a strata building is estimated at $2,500 m2 Calculation: Step 1. 90,000 x 300 m2 = 27 million m2 x $2,500 m2 = $67.5 billion in untapped airspace. Step 2. 90,000 x $500,000 = $45 billion in capital works budgeted for repairs. In essence, our airspace holds the potential to not only provide new homes but also fund necessary strata capital works, ushering in positive transformations. #airspace
