Let's ensure EVERYBODY goes home safe after a days work! If the cost of a job appears too good, then always cast doubt. We must remember it is not only the responsibility of the contractor and their staff on site, it is also the responsibility of the duty holder, who may be a building owner, occupier or facilities management company to ensure contractors and employees are safe when working at height. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has published its annual statistics on work-related fatalities, with 138 workers killed in work-related accidents, up from 136 last year! Falls from height remain the highest kind of fatal accidents, at 50 deaths, significantly up from 40 last year. Additionally, 87 members of the public were killed in work-related accidents in 2023/2024, according to RIDDOR. At NSS, the safest way, is the only way! Our philosophy on safety is simple. It’s our number one priority whenever we approach any job, no matter how big or small. Whether it’s keeping our own people safe, or the people in and around your properties. We’re fully accredited to the Occupational Health and Safety (ISO45001) standard, have a division dedicated to testing and assessment and even employ a team of full-time health and safety managers across our business. With full national coverage through our in-house teams of operatives and own fleet of MEWPS, you can rely on NSS to take care of your external building maintenance and cleaning requirements, either through proactive PPM's or through our reactive call-out service and ALWAYS done so via #thesafestway Drop me a line if you would like to discuss the benefits further of using NSS as a service provider. ✉ shaun.sylvester@nssgroup.com / ☎ 07766 688271 #Safeaccess #access #atheight #workingatheight #maintenance #mewps #ropeaccess #abseiling #glazing #repairs #windows #cleaning #testing #national #england #ireland #scotland #wales #UK #hire #healthandsafety #specialistcleaning #roofing #guttering #facades #facias #fallarrest #QHSE #HSE #ISO #Safecontractor #CHAS #Constructionline #Avetta #siphonic #slate #tiles #liquidencapsulation #siphonicsystems

Why Should You Get Commercial Cleaning Services? If you’re a busy bee, it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to accomplish the list above in addition to your list of tasks. Your staff will also be employed for a specific set of responsibilities, so it won’t be the most productive to ask them to help with the cleaning. Hence, hiring a commercial cleaning service will be beneficial, as they will take care of all the cleaning so you can focus on more urgent tasks. Additionally, a commercial cleaning company will also have many trained cleaners who will be able to get the job done as quickly and as efficiently as possible. They will also have all the best equipment to carry out their work flawlessly. #Janitorialservices

It is of paramount importance for every factory to hold safety and health talks because it makes employees more cautious. Safety talks in the workplace should be short and focused meetings that inform workers about safety topics relevant to their duties. Here are some essential topics to cover: · General Housekeeping: Emphasize the importance of keeping work areas clean and tidy to reduce hazards like trips and falls. · Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Use: Discuss the correct use of PPE, such as helmets, gloves, and safety glasses. · Workplace Hazards: Address specific hazards related to machinery, chemicals, or other workplace elements. · Fire Safety: Cover fire prevention, evacuation procedures, and fire extinguisher usage. · Emergency Response: Explain what to do during emergencies, including evacuation routes and first aid procedures. · Safe Lifting Techniques: Teach proper lifting methods to prevent back injuries. · Electrical Safety: Highlight safe practices when working with electrical equipment. · Slips, Trips, and Falls: Discuss ways to prevent slips and falls in the workplace. · Machine Guarding: Explain the importance of machine guards and safe operating procedures. · Safe Driving Practices: Address safe driving habits for employees who operate vehicles. Remember, keeping safety talks engaging and interactive helps reinforce the information effectively #NSSAHeroes #ALifelongPromise

Can any of my contractors and maintenance vendors tell me if this is the best practice? I'm not convinced. I found a maintenance worker at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas meticulously penning in the grout between the floor tiles. He was literally on his hands and knees all day. These guys are really on top of their game. It's pretty amazing. But it got me thinking: is this the most effective way to upkeep grout at a massive casino? Now, don't get me wrong. I have immense respect for the dedication and craftsmanship this takes; however... Could there have been a better way to install the system where they wouldn't have to maintain full-time employees? There must be a better way to save time, money, and physical strain on the employees. As someone constantly evaluating ways to improve our processes, I'm curious—what is the best practice here? #janitorialsupplies #maintenance #propertymanagment #seniorcarefacility #longtermcare #seniorliving #expensemanagment #seniorcarefacilities #nursinghome #healthcare #bestpractice #businessinsights
