National Manufacturing and Industrial Sales | Strategic Leader | Manufacturing Channel Partner | Sales Manager | Industrial Air Compressor Sales Operations and Strategies
Came across this while at a prospect site 😬. *Edit: The shop Manager told me this was a post-install addon to force the compressor to run more. The compressor was having moisture issues. Here’s my thoughts on what potentially happened: A) An Engineer over calculated on this particular new build specs and needs. B) Inexperienced Sales Rep that doesn’t have the industry knowledge to know what/how to properly size a compressor. C) Sales Rep grossly oversized the system and now they have to force the compressor to run. Comment which one, or all, that you think happened. Feel free to add your opinion on what happened. Unfortunately this customer has to suffer at money wasted on the bigger equipment and energy being thrown down the drain. This is a lesson that bigger is not always better and why your air compressor system should be sized appropriately for your needs. rwelborn@midwestairpower.com (740)-415-4324 #MidwestAirPower #aircompressors #compressedair #energywasted #truckingindustry #dryers #compressors101 #CompressedAirBestPractices

Why do I recommend buying 15-packs of gas cylinders? Because it saves you a lot of money. Here's how: Individual cylinders or 6-packs, cause "inefficient exchanges" Inefficient exchanges - This means that replacing one cylinder with another when it runs out can be time-consuming and resource-intensive. Combining 15 cylinders into a single pallet reduces injuries during transport, and lowers delivery costs. Fewer exchanges and less downtime mean your business runs smoothly. Also, Did you know? A 15-pack gives you three times the volume of a six-pack. That's 260+ cubic feet for 15 cylinders. This means less space, and fewer packs needed. This can save on storage costs and space needed for gas storage. So, opting for 15-packs can help you: - Control rising costs - Reduce downtime - Streamline your business operations. Hope this convinces you to buy 15-packs whenever you are ordering again. Want to order from Westair? Fill out the form below, and we will reach out in the next 24 hours. Technical Sales and Customer Success Manager | Leveraging Algorithms to Increase Heatpump Efficiency
The heat pump industry is facing a significant barrier... staff shortages. A recent survey of UK #heatpump installers, conducted by Nesta with industry collaboration, reveals that 30% of respondents identified finding suitable additional staff as the biggest challenge. But what if there was a way to increase the number of installs a current installer can complete by reducing the number of call outs to site and troubleshooting phone calls? This is where Homely and it's newly released online platform comes in. "Homely Connect" allows installers to remotely monitor the status of the heat pump and reassure a customer without the need to attend site. What's more, the platform can assist with identifying issues quickly, reducing the amount of time spent troubleshooting. But where the magic truely happens is sending parameter changes to the heat pump. Homely allows installers to remotely push settings to the heat pump, thereby removing the need to attend site to adjust a couple of settings. Learn more at https://lnkd.in/e4HW3_FJ By removing the amount of time an installer spends troubleshooting, adjusting settings and reassuring customers, they can focus on what they do best. A common topic among sustainability folks is the transition to heat pumps. This Bloomberg article does a nice job of explaining how to "unlock" the market. It is critical to spend time and energy on training HVAC contractors as they are on the front line, in your home, helping you decide which technology to use to replace failed equipment. I've heard from multiple homeowners that when it came time to replace air conditioners and hot water heaters, multiple contractors steered the homeowners away from choosing heat pumps. Consumers can only be so strong in their desire for a heat pump when the "expert" tells them it is a risky idea. The worst part of this situation is that every time it occurs, that piece of HVAC equipment will likely be in use for 10 to 20 more years.... until it breaks again. We need to stop adding and replacing fossil-based equipment and electrify HVAC equipment on every replacement. #heatpumps #sustainability Full article available for 7 days: https://lnkd.in/gSkVuvCh

For any business that relies on cold product for sales, their #refrigeration system is the most critical piece of equipment on site. Both in how it impacts their commercial electric usage, and keeping product at specified safe temperatures. For Josh Correia and The Country Mile in Greenville, NH, NRM’s solution has been a tremendous help managing both of those needs. As well as in avoiding mechanical problems in their walk-in coolers. In particular, the ability to start a defrost whenever he needs combined with a 20-minute timed system shutdown during deliveries or stocking has drastically improved the performance and health of his evaporator coils. By training his delivery drivers to push the big red shutdown button when they show up, the system stops running and producing humidity which used to ice up his evaporator constantly. And because NRM’s solution also optimizes the equipment for #energyefficiency -- smart controls adapt the cooling schedule to call for cooling only when necessary, inefficient hardware is upgraded to better performing models, and other improvements --The Country Mile was projected to save over $6,000 from their electric bill every year. “We’ve had a number of times where the alerts really saved our butts. In fact, when NRM first installed their system, it made us aware we had a compressor on the roof running 24/7. Of course no one noticed, because you can’t hear it up there. Who knows if that thing would’ve blown up on us. And prior to NRM’s defrost tools, we dealt with iced up evaporator coils all the time. It has definitely made our lives easier.” #rethinkrefrigeration #energysavings #coolingsolutions

Next letter of the TRUTH Sales Methodology is “T”. This is the second T and it stands for Thoroughness. Make sure you are taking the time during your sales visit to be thorough. Meaning, (1) perform a Conduit Tech load calculation while you are there, (2) make sure you test the duct system (especially if you are switching to a heat pump) with a The Energy Conservatory TrueFlow Grid, (3) highlight the fact that you can prove your work with measureQuick Pro Report and Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) QI Certificate examples. This is just scratching the surface. You usually only get a 1 - 1-1/2 hours during a home walkthrough/sales visit. Make it count.

**Helping Businesses Stay Operational in Critical Moments** Today, I received an urgent call from a gentleman in Denton, TX. His shop's compressor had gone down, halting half of their operations and causing a major disruption to one of their biggest customers. Within 2 hours we had their account set up and a replacement compressor on-site, getting their business back up and running. Moments like this remind me how crucial it is to have reliable partners when things don’t go as planned. Proud of the team for stepping up and delivering quick results when it mattered most! 💪 #CustomerSupport #EmergencyResponse #BusinessContinuity #OperationalExcellence #Teamwork #CompressedAir #Generators #Power #TemperatureControl #Sales

BY-PASS VALVE? LOW FLOW RATE? In this short video, I explained why a by-pass valve is important in the heating system. If there is some problem with low flow, the by-pass valve will help to maintain minimum flow. I don't have so much experience with them, maybe someone can help with questions: 1. Is it possible to set up a minimum flow rate at which the by-pass valve will open? 2. Or do they work only on differential pressure? In that case, my doubt is that the valve will be open even if we don't need it (unnecessary mixing).
