For people looking for a more discreet — and perhaps more stylish — way to keep tabs on their health, a ring might be just the thing. At least that’s what Samsung is hoping. The company’s “smart” ring — the $399 Galaxy Ring — is new ground for Samsung, a company that has most recently highlighted its interest in artificial intelligence and home robotics. But it’s also the first big tech company to embrace of a class of health devices that haven’t yet gone fully mainstream.

Great report Ben. Looking forward to your follow up from MWC. Amazing piece of work, ōura! And that these sensors can be packaged and powered in this way. And exciting - the future is bright for AI based personal healthcare! May, however become a badge of geekness as the wearing of rings is either fashion matching - occasional & many different or worn all the time but very special in it’s own right - e.g. wedding ring, signet. Kind of a try on before you buy (for looks and fit) product and need to stock all sizes means only in big stores. With Samsung and others (Apple?) coming out with these, going to be hard to chose. And not likely one store carries all to try on and see on your finger. Hard to see this as mass market IMHO, but really impressed with the fact that sensors can be accurate and this small and seeing the AI powered applications for this combination of sensors. But there are a few other “always worn” places to put these sensors and not get questions about why (e.g. trying to get pregnant…?). Comments?

Do you wear a smart watch? Do you wear it to bed? Many smart watch wearers miss out on valuable data because they take it off at night. The smart ring overcomes that problem. It's designed to be worn 24/7 and has a seven day battery life. Samsung is launching the Galaxy Ring later this month and expects to sell 4 million in 2025. Smart rings are not new - the England football team has been seen wearing them, but Samsung is the first big tech company to commit to the technology. This is an interesting step towards 24/7 biometric data which, when combined with AI, will push forward personalised healthcare. Samsung says users will also be able to take photos and snooze alarms by pinching their finger. Would you wear a smart ring? #technology #smartwatch #AI #Samsung

2wWhen we analyze more broadly, in another passage, the conditions for being aware, some of the difficulties that arise will be resolved. Here we can approach the way in which until now we looked at things starting from the unconscious, the developed considerations being decided from the point of view of consciousness. The totality of psychic processes appears in consciousness as the realm of preconsciousness. A very large part of this preconsciousness originates in the unconscious, presents the character of the bisques of the unconscious, and undergoes a censorship before it becomes conscious. Another part of Vd is capable of becoming aware without censorship.
