📣 Information on the Equal Pay & Opportunities Act: You may know that it’s unlawful to base an employee’s pay or career advancement opportunities on their gender, but did you know it’s also unlawful to: • Prohibit employees from discussing their wages with each other. • Ask about a job applicant’s salary history. • Fail to provide the full wage or salary range, other compensation and benefits on a job posting (if you have 15 or more employees). Introducing a new resource from The Women's Foundation of Colorado for workers and employers to help you understand Colorado's equal pay laws. We wrote these guides to make sure you know your protections as a worker or a job seeker. For instance, did you know that employers cannot ask job seekers their salary history? This was intentionally written into the law to make sure workers who have been underpaid on the basis of their gender and/or race don't continue to be underpaid. We also wrote a guide for employers who want to ensure they are complying with these laws. Download them, share them, and talk about them. Laws are only effective if you know about them! We've made it easy. #equalpay #paytransparency #workersrights
Attention workers and job seekers! Are you aware of the many ways that Colorado’s equal pay laws protect you? And employers, are you sure you know all the requirements to comply? Don't worry, we've got you covered. As co-leads of the Equal Pay Coalition, we've got all the info you need to know. Download our helpful guides today at www.wfco.org/equalpay
