I help real estate agents maximize their business potential through transaction management • Real Estate Professional (GA, SC) • Kind human being 🌈
Slow periods often precede busier times. Hiring a transaction coordinator during a slow phase allows you to prepare your business and processes for an upswing in transactions. Transforming Ideas into Engaging Content that Drives Results for Brands || Content Marketing Manager || Currently looking for a new role, DM me
I watched a movie a few days ago. It's quite popular but it didn't meet my expectations. So I would rate it 6/10 I downloaded it from Netflix during the day so I could watch it later at night. The trailer was quite interesting. But a few minutes into the movie, I started getting bored. I hoped things would change, so I kept watching. Midway, I knew I didn't like it at all. But no, I didn't want my data to just be wasted. So I watched it to the end... And sighed deeply when it was over. Now I will never download movies without checking reviews first. Do you know the same applies to hiring? No one wants to waste their resources on hiring the wrong person. So apart from having a solid portfolio, how can you prove that you're worth anyone's time? Get positive reviews. Ask for feedback. And when you get it, don't keep the reviews to yourself. Share it with your audience. Even as a business owner, when someone says something positive about your goods or service, take a microphone and announce it to the world. Just like I would trust my friend's review over any trailer for a movie, your audience will likely trust another customer's review over what you say. What are your thoughts on this? P.S.: I'm Mariam, and I write quality content. Like, comment, and follow me for more content like this!

💡 What does a producer actually do? 📅 (Part two // week two.) Last week some folks asked me to dive into the ‘bigger picture.’ A producer is… Someone who makes projects happen Someone who builds teams and processes Someone who actually responds to emails and doesn’t ghost people Someone who sweats over deadlines when others don’t seem to Someone who keeps full records (data, processes, insights, impacts) Someone who makes it their duty to see the bigger picture as well as the detail Someone who thinks in the past, present and future Someone who constantly asks ‘what if…?’ Someone who can empathise and talk in your team’s language Someone who understands the practicalities of budgeting as well as creative implications Someone who doesn’t pass the buck Someone who is agile and can reframe problems Someone who has the ability to bring people with them Someone who can talk to everyone: clients, senior management, (even devs) Someone who is always learning new tools, methodologies and techniques Someone who listens more than speaks (two ears, one mouth: use them in that ratio!) Someone who thinks about the best case and worst case scenarios Someone who has a spreadsheet full of amazingly talented people who can do anything Someone who understands the importance that people get paid on time Someone who can see the funny side; we’re not saving lives here Someone who can stare into the distance thoughtfully, dreaming big (see photo proof) Does any of this resonate? Any more for any more? Please add below. #producer #production #workflows #immersive #methodology #irony

🚀 Creative Operations Insights #7 🚀 I have often wondered which of the following roles I am most suited to: 📈Project manager 🗣️Producer 🏗️Production coordinator 🛠️Operations manager In my head these are all “Creatove Operations” jobs. Over my career so far I have undertaken all of these roles multiple times and I think I have finally begun to understand the key differences between them all. 📈From my work at Mrs Wordsmith, I saw that a project manager turns someone else’s idea into a sequence of actionable steps and then helps to coordinate those tasks and keep them on track. They deliver the output they were commissioned to project manage. 🗣️From my work with The Cambridge Impronauts I saw that a producer does what a project manager does but with creative projects and frequently acts as the project sponsor in addition to the day-to-day manager of work. This means they are often the ones who commission the project as well as the ones who help organise it. 🏗️From my work alongside Scribble Room Animation, I saw that Production coordinators focus on the planning, scheduling and execution of the “production” phase of a project. They may work under a project manager or producer and their task is to coordinate the many parts that come together to make the ‘output’. 🛠️Finally, from my work at Up Learn I saw that Operations Managers are the only role to not work on a “project by project basis”. They take on a more permanent position within an organisation and try to set up standardised processes and tools to empower the other roles to do their work in a faster or more robust way. 🕵🏻♂️So which is the job for me? Turns out I can’t quite decide and I think that’s okay! … I realise that in every job I’ve had I have continued to take on elements of each of these titles as what I love most of all is responsibility and variety in my work! 😍This leads me to work with a huge array of people from creatives to accountants and grow my network. It allows me to have the greatest impact possible on an organisation and it means I am always pushing myself to learn more and more. Now that’s job satisfaction. #whoami #creativeoperations #manyhats #projectmanagement #producer #productionmanagement #operationsmanager

What has happened to all the producer jobs? I've not got any further insight, so it's a bit of an open question. Thankfully it seems like the industry is slowly ticking back to life with Talent Manager and Facebook picking up speed with the job postings, but, I've maybe seen one or two producer jobs. So what does this mean for producers like me? Do we need to take a step down and apply for AP gigs? It's not like I'll be handed a series producer job. Are teams moving forward to consist solely of APs and PDs? It leaves us floating in limbo. I get budgets are being stretched, and even more so now, but a producer on location supporting a director and focusing on editorial and story is an essential component that productions need. What does everyone think? #tvproduction #producers #tvjobs

📣 CALLING ALL PRODUCERS: We need YOU to be part of the first Producer Landscape Study. We are doing a comprehensive, industry-wide study of Producers and related roles. We’re on a mission to fill a major gap in the industry with a depth of understanding about the integrated Producer role (sometimes titled in other ways). The data from the Producer Landscape Study will shape a set of materials that will not only clearly recognize and galvanize this underappreciated discipline, but also help reposition the role within studios, agencies, and companies to be better for individuals and businesses. Give your input and take part in two ways: TAKE THE SURVEY - this anonymous survey should only take you about 10 minutes and will be the heart of a forthcoming report, with which we want to make a big ripple in the industry. SHARE THE SURVEY - we need as many Producers + related roles (from product managers to account directors) to take the survey to make sure we have strong data to build from. Please repost this and directly share the link below for max reach! ⏳ DO IT NOW – the deadline is August 23, 2024 https://lnkd.in/gj7mhG9F #Producer #ProjectManager #AccountManager #ProductManager #ProgramManager

6x Ecomm Investor | Advisor @ WKND Digital | DTC & Agency Consultant | Official Dark Chocolate Connoisseur
I've spoken to ~14 agency owners since Tuesday. $50k/yr-$11M/yr. It seems like more of them want "I'll Train Your Ops Person to be An A-Player COO in 90 Days" than a Fractional COO. Did not expect that. What are some things you would want to make sure your Operator is trained on? I'll Start: ✅ Installing Core KPIs (The ones that matter - not just financial ones!) ✅ Structuring Service Lines & Pods (you're probably doing this wrong) ✅ Unlocking Additional Capacity (not just guessing) ✅ How to Problem Solve (so they don't keep re-occurring) What else?

Anyone else getting frustrated by "doom scrolling" for jobs? Anyone else in a place where you don't even know what you're looking for anymore? I've had so many different jobs in an entertainment and entertainment adjacent capacity, and have built a very broad set of skills over the years. In talking to a job coach, their one critique was "what is your mission statement for yourself?" I. DON'T. KNOW. My passions and skills can take me so many different directions at this point that I don't want to close off any opportunities by limiting my search. In my previous job, I was in the very unique position of being a part of a brand new department in film/TV production. People's previous work experience and skills were looked at rather than just previous job titles. I feel like so many of the jobs I've been applying for automatically throw me out because I don't have "Project Manager," "Production Coordinator," "Associate Producer" titles, though I have essentially done those roles and possess the skills and experience to thrive in any of those roles, but I can't get a foot in the door. I wish the companies that I was applying to could look beyond titles, and just chat with me for a few minutes to see how accomplished, driven, and talented I am. I'm sure a lot of you all feel the same way too. And please stop telling us we're overqualified. We've seen the salary. We've seen the job descriptions. If we're applying, we're capable and willing. If we're "overqualified," you're essentially getting us at a bargain. Just give us a chance to use our skills and experiences to your benefit, and help us start making a paycheck again. #unemploymentsolidatity
