I support this 100%. Access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene is the most basic human need for health and well-being. Billions of people will lack access to these basic services. Having access to clean, safe water, sanitation, and hygiene should be a human right, not a privilege. Water is essential not only to health, but also to poverty reduction, food security, peace and human rights, ecosystems, and education. We need to invest in water research and development for sustainable water solutions to prevent water related illnesses in communities with limited access to clean water. With access to a higher quantity of clean water, hygiene and sanitation education, we can reduce the connection between water and illness. Ensuring that everyone has access to sustainable water and sanitation services is a critical climate change mitigation strategy for the years ahead.

https://lnkd.in/euxM_iwP We need to alter our course in how we deal with protecting our coastal waters and watersheds. We need to implement the best available technology (advanced tertiary) starting at the head of the watershed, because water and pollution flow down hill. Coastal communities are rushing to sewer downgradient communities on the water first, with already polluted waters continuing to flow to them and through them.
