Our dedicated team at Devco Development and Engineering has recently completed a critical phase of our project in Rancho Cucamonga—utility potholing. This essential process allows us to safely and accurately locate existing underground utilities, such as gas, water, sewer, and electrical lines. Why is Utility Potholing Important? Safety First: By identifying the exact locations and depths of existing utilities, we can prevent accidental damage and ensure the safety of our crew and the public. Precision: Accurate data from potholing helps us plan and execute the next stages of our project with greater precision. Efficiency: Minimizing the risk of utility strikes helps keep our projects on schedule and within budget. Tomorrow, we move on to the next phase: Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD). With the depths of the utilities now confirmed, HDD allows us to install new utility lines with minimal disruption to the surface environment. This trenchless technology not only enhances efficiency but also supports our commitment to environmentally responsible practices. A big shoutout to our team for their meticulous work and unwavering commitment to safety and excellence. We look forward to sharing more updates as we progress. Innovation for monopile installation: Drive-Drill-Drive Monopiles are a cost-effective foundation choice, but challenging soil conditions can complicate their installation. This is where the innovative drive-drill-drive (3D) method comes in. 🌍 Combining drilling and hammering, this method saves time and costs by eliminating the need for temporary casing, grout, or concrete. It also reduces the size and cost of the piling hammer. Proven on European projects, 3D is ideal for global developments, especially #floatingwind projects in rocky soils like offshore #California. 🌊 Learn more about this game-changing technique in our blog: https://hubs.ly/Q02S1dV80 #OffshoreEngineering #MonopileInstallation #Innovation #RenewableEnergy

From a standstill to a successful project: PortaDam met D&G Boring Inc.’s deadline! Unstable subsurface and rocky banks prevented engineers from employing directional drilling during the final phase of D&G’s pipeline project. Time was of the essence to prevent the boring’s potential collapse! To reduce the need for bypass pumping, Rain For Rent developed a gravity-fed bypass piping system. Then, we provided a custom-designed cofferdam system with additional bracing, flume bypass, and scour protection. As a result of these synergistic efforts, D&G Boring saved $500,000 in bypass pumping and successfully evaded collapse. Nothing can stop Northeast Remsco Construction (NRC), not even boulders! Yonkers Contracting Company, Inc. hired NRC to install eight 80-foot long, 36-inch diameter pipes via microtunnel under the Light Rail in Jersey City. This project in collaboration with the Port Authority, presented unexpected challenges: horizontal probing revealed various obstructions along the casing alignment, including concrete, boulders, and cast-iron pipe. But at NRC, we don't back down. We quickly adapted by acquiring the advanced Geonex - Horizontal drilling solution (Horizontal Hammer Boring) DTH Drill Rig. This cutting-edge equipment features unique horizontal hammer technology, allowing us to penetrate even the most challenging soil conditions. The job was completed ahead of our estimated schedule. Now that's what we call a breakthrough! www.northeastremsco.com #reputation #workethic #teamaccomplishment #trenchless #specialist
